|
|
Here's something I whipped up this morning in response to a request over in the X-Universe forum. I made several versions. Hopefully this will be enough to suit most people.
No Guidance Arrows. This mod eliminates the triple orange arrows that point you in the direction of the Mission that is active.
Minimal Guidance. This mod eliminates the arrows, but also eliminates the orange corner brackets from gates and ships. The orange brackets will appear when you target an active gate or ship. I could remove them completely, but it would make doing missions a pain. Station brackets are untouched.
Minimal Guidance, No Floating Icons. This is for those who are using my No Floating Icons mod. Does the same as Minimal Guidance, but also removes the huge floating icons over stations (except for plot mission book icon).
Enjoy!

Note that your active Mission will still say "Guidance Active", because that's hard-coded.

Nice. It's pretty eFFing annoying that it turns itself on automatically after you do a mission.

I agree. I was getting along with it (barely), until I got to the Hub mission and started having one of my freighters deliver loads of wares. Every time he made a delivery my guidance would turn back on. Very annoying.

Hello.
How you've done this?
Can you explain the structure of icons file?
And is it working fine with X3 TC 2.5?
