hi,

(no it's not another dumb question on how to set "autojump", please read it if you may, and forgive me for bad writing, english's not my native langage :()

The actual behavior of fighters on a carrier is messed up when jumping throught the autopilot menu:
the fighters keeps on undocking while the carrier jumps, dumbfully flying sector throught sector to rejoin their homebase (or juming along the carrier if they can)

It's really annoying me :
each time I want my panther M7 or my elephant TL to jump, i've got to set each one of it's fighters / escort to return to base / keep doing nothing in the hangar and set them back to "protect" "attack target of" or "kill 'em all" command when the ship get to destination.

was wondering how to mod / manipulate the regular jumping command to have a "normal" behavior : fighters already docked should stick in the carrier while it jumps, as the role of the carrier is to remove the need of a fighter wing the need of jumpdrive / LOTS of ecells and mount countless number of missiles instead xD

maybe the answer is in the "manual" jump command you lauch with SHIFT + J : the fighters don't play dumb and undock, they just stick in the hangar and jump inside the ship along with me

the problem is, i don't know how to toy with it
