[SCRIPT] Destroy Target - HOTKEY
Made a little script that will destroy your current target and has an assignable hotkey. Place in scripts directory, run X3TC and go to Controls > Interface and scroll down to the bottom. Assign a key, and use very carefully or you'll end up having to reload a saved game, hehe. I use a combo of keys myself (Shift + K in my case, for KILL). Enjoy!

i cant get this to work (this game hates me to be honest)
Capped a viper on a mission and sent it off to dock at the nearest station to be safe only for it to die every time by an osprey that comes into system (second wave of the mission i guess).
Ive extracted .rar files to "C:\Program Files (x86)\EGOSOFT\X3 Terran Conflict\scripts" loaded game, gone to "Controls > Interface", and scrolled to the very bottom and zip, nada nothing there. What have i done wrong, or failed to do ?

where ?Install in your X3 Terran Conflict\scripts directory.
In-game, go to Controls > Interface, and scroll to the very bottom.
You'll now have a Destroy Target slot.
Needless to say, you need to be very careful and not press whatever key
you assign accidentally. If you do destroy something by mistake, you'll
need to load your last saved game. I use Shift+K (for KILL). Enjoy!

Rmaccc is right there is no option at the bottom of the interface for destroying ships the last option is Build station rotate b axis neg
I have activated the script editor and if I go into it the very first script is cheat.destroy.target V1 so it can obviously see your cheat is there but there is no option to use it.
Either there is a crucial piece of information missing from your installation instructions telling newbies how to use your cheat (ive never used a cheat before) or your script is incompatible with version 1.3 of the game.

it's a hotkey so it would be whatever your tracking aim is set on meaning in the same sector
as for rep loss it won't set the killer as you so it should not
