In Terran Conflict

I am on a part of main plot of Terran pilot where I have to escort Scabbard from Heretics End. As soon as I enter Asteroid Belt I explode. I switched to the rear view at some point, was heading to East gate and it looks like something invisible collided with me, I see a little spark a bit up and away from my ship and then I explode. I've experienced this in some other sector, its possible that the same Asteroid Belt. Sometimes its enough just to enter the sector and boom! I am not being shot at, I am not being missiled at, and I don't collide with anything visible...

Another bug I've noticed some missions after claiming the ship ships can't find the right pattern to dock with stations, they just fly around like idiots, even though I ordered them to dock. Another bug was with trader escort mission. Trader couldn't find the right pattern to jump through the gate, it just kept turn around approaching the gate, then turning around, flying a bit away and repeated it at least 15 times, while I had to fight off multiple waves of pirates spawning on timer.

It sucks. I love doing missions but these kind of glitches are very annoying.

Regarding claimed ships and their spastic behavior, being OOS was a work-around I ended up resorting to It's still somewhat annoying, but much less than the alternative.

It sounds as if you are running into a big ship waiting to come through the gate. Keep an eye on the entry/exit lights on the gate - if they are strobing towards you then it means the gate is busy and you have to wait your turn!

The Scabbard can get through because there is no collision detection in the sector until you get there.

It might just be that the ship you are colliding with is stuck there, which might be a bug. Try to obtain a second ship and send that through, then check the Asteroid Belt sector map to see if any ships are hanging around just by the gate. You may have to ignore the escort mission for a while in order to do that. Just don't talk to the guy in charge of it.

Another bug - ships ordered to Protect Me, sometimes when I am docked, just run into the station and explode.

I just received Argon Discoverer, so the story line goes on. I am moving into Argon Space and my next ship actually actually sucks balls. Sorry for expressions but I am little by little getting frustrated.

I was flying Rieper:Shield: 5.000 KJ (5x1MJ shields)
Hull: 1200
Laser: 1000 (1 or 2 EMPCs - Electromagnetic Plasma Cannon)

Now I was "upgraded" with Argon Discoverer:
Shield: 4.000KJ (4x1M shields)
Hull: 1.000
Laser: 1.200 (3xIRE - Impulse Ray Emitter)

1 EPC is more powerful than 1 IRE. 2 EPC easily outdamage 3 IREs.

I find it strange that while I will be thrown against tougher enemy I still receive weaker ship.

Should I do missions in Terran space and just purchase better Terran Ship and get rid of this piece of Argon junk? I don't see the point continuing story line in a ship with weaker shields and I can't even use 5MJ shields in this ship. I am going to try first storyline mission in Argon space, if I fail I am moving back to Terran space, increase my standing and buy good terran ship...

First post :D, anyway the Asteroid belt bug mentioned isn't generally a crashing into another ship at the gate kinda bug (at least for me anyway).

I have found that just travelling from one gate to another (somewhere in between gates) you suddenly blow up, no missiles, stations or ships near, just boom! your dead, game over. Which sucks if you haven't docked recently :evil:.

Also when it's happened to me it wasn't part of the mission/plot, I was just travelling through the sector.

Another bug...

I am on the main plot part "Kill: Rusiris Trosulis Ugarilias VII". He is actually a Telyadi Vulchur Tanker being escorted by few Teladi Buzzards, as soon as I attack him, they all become red and kill my Elite with 2 freaking missiles. I have 3 wing-men Discoverers but it doesn't help much.

I've tried to kill Harriers one by one, after shooting harrier once he threatens you and then after you attack again only he becomes your enemy, but after killing each harrier I lose enough recognition of Teladi police to become red for me.

As further I get as more bugs and as more frustration. I thought at least in TC they will pay good attention to plots and test them before releasing.

I've reloaded quite a few times and once that guy actually has showed up as a pirate. That would make sense. I have sent discoverers to take care of buzzards first and as soon as they've attacked one of the buzzards launched a missile at me and my Elite went puff... *sigh*. And they were expecting me to do this in Argon Discoverer? :evil:

Oh the funniest thing, difficulty it says easy... :rofl: :headbang:

And even if you get passed this part, with lots of angry teladies beind you ands 20% left of your Elite, she says that she will mark potential smuglers on the radar and I have to scan them but there is no guidance arrows and no ships are marked. Is this as far as Egosoft got this plot polished?

Can anyone confirm that this plot is broken, please?

Doing missions from the station, sent me to patrol Black Sun. Easy Mission, with 35K reward. I've entered the sector and there is freakign Xenon Q and his friends slaughtering everything around. And guidance points that I have to kill Xenon Q. I am flying Argon discoverer... Xenon Q is a capital ship. Is this a damn joke or another buggy mission... *sigh*

OOOooohhhhhh, and now I need to patrol in my little discoverrer the Xenon sector itself, with J class ships... yeah! bringd it on! lol, this is ridiculous... I am done with this stupid mission.

I think these missions spawn in stations without any order, based on what you fly, where you are, or anything at all... Ship recovery sends me to Xenon Sector and says its easy, etc... oh well. I guess yuo can't have everything perfect, if one thing is perfect in game (graphics in X3), then there will be for sure something else crappy. So far I find a lot of bugs and missions that don't make any sense. Wasted all day trying to do Fight missions, reloading from previous saves and tryng again. So far its been more of a torture than fun.

Found another 3 bugs.

During SETA 600% (default) wing-men on "follow me", "protect me" as well as the fighter drones - collide with my ship and explode. If I send wing-men to the other sector with SETA 600% - same thing, they collide with something and explode. I bought 8 wing-men, before they have reached the gate of the next sector only 4 were left.

Terran Plot where you have to kill some Telladi trader to receive coordinates of Argon military sector, after you kill the trader and scan enough ships next mission step says that it automatically increases standing with Telladi to Confirmed Friend - didn't happen. I had to increase my standing with them by doing missions only then I was able to buy telladium.

Also my ships speed is 228, somehow when I activate autopilot now it counts backwards to 33 and speed indicator shows like its max. Ships is fully repaired and manually I can increase speed to 228. As soon as I select target and enable Autopilot it drops down to 33.

Its been 3 days, and I've seen so many bugs and overall frustration that I am going to put this game 'away' until the better times when they release patch and fix all this crap, some of which i have posted.

Fortunately Fable 2 comes out on Tuesday.

I was excited about TC, but after 3 days full of game bugs and bull crap I've had enough. If you never played TC - stick to Reunion for now. TC has more disappointment than fun. Plus there is no official scripts out yet and only standard set of scripts available in game. No Exploration script, no station manager, no singularity trader, nothing.... Why did they worry about release TC? So we can see graphics of Terran sector and some new ships? TC has so many bugs its not funny...
