Not sure as somthing as dangerous as that doesn't appeal to me enough to try it out lol.

You'd probably die even if you got through, by the next ship that jumps in after you....

I think so, but why would you want to? Lousy speed, no weapons, no shielding, and most critically, NO SETA! Call the shrink, this guy mad the crossing from the north gate to the trading station without seta... Now he's ranting about jumping something???

lol yea, i might die in my first stunt, but in heaven (made up place supposle next to devon) all those people won't be laughing at my space suit, THEY WILL BE WONDING IF I GOT A SCREW LOSE and i will say yes to being an almost famost argon, but no to having doubts if i would of made it, aslong as a dont wet myself before i die i will be happy i tried

you realize that if anything looks funny at that suit you are a dead man right? I died as I went to claim a ship when I hit d by mistake and smeared myself across the hull of my own buster.

Plus you can survive if you're getting attacked when capping if you are sat in your ship....

lol made my day lol, off topic of smearing maybe a mod is about or could be made to make the space suit faster or atleast 1/2mj shield

back on topic i have found that the use of the W A S D keys are much faster than you can go forward lol so i might just have to go head first, and take out the mercury to see if i can make it first

A good way to realise just how really, really big the gates are. When you get close to the Gate in your suit, go to an external view then zoom the camera out - most impressive.

Good luck dodging the traffic.

Flitting about in a vacuum suit reminds me of that Sheridan stunt in the B5 special 'Third Space'.

Watch out for space flies as well.

Space Flies lol only posting this as you had me doubting myself for a moment so I looked it up.

Flies is the proper plural of fly (as in the insect).

Of course it would only take one to ruin your day. I've been taken out in a Disco with a single 1 mw shield by these critters in X2 so a suit wouldn't stand a chance.

As to why go through a Gate in a suit no doubt because you can. For the sheer insane thrill of it - assumning you have been on the weed, and fuel!

EDIT on dodging depends on your approach direction remember vacuum suits are very slow. Also I can't remember where you appear when you come out the other side - does it correspond to where you entered?

I don't think so, in every ship i have been in no matter where i enter the gate i always exit right in the very centre.

but what i can see happen is getting from argon prime north gate to herrons trading station, calling my pirate buster, then it running me over

How about, attempting to fly through a Xenon sector in just the suit and come through the other end alive?

Now THAT's a stunt!!

Or, jump into a Kha'ak sector, send ur ship to one end and try and reach your ship and jump out...
