All coordinates have been checked by myself, so they cannot be wrong. Really, they can't.
To easily reach a specific location in the sector order your ship to "Move to position" and use the numeric keypad to select the location. Use INS to flip the map; this way you can select the height.
Some of these goodies need the 2.0 update. Be sure to have it. It rocks.

* This ship is incredibly hard to get since it is surrounded by squash mines.
Try to reach it from below. After you have it, command it to move out going down for a few km's and
slightly north with the Move to position command. If done right, you can escape safely.
** Doesn't seem to be there at the start of the game. I think I already had done the story line after I found it. ukdj78 lets me know that it was there after he won the race. (Perhaps one of the racers gave up and bailed ship? ^_^ )
*** The location varies per game. Look out for the pandora bbs messages to find it. See the Pandora section.
**** Obtainable during the Bala Gi missions. I highly doubt you can find it before doing the missions.
If you find an asteroid at one of the locations, try to fly around it. The container is floating somewhere around it.

If you find an asteroid at one of the locations, try to fly around it. The container is floating somewhere around it.
Containers may contain more than 2 CIG's. Be sure to have the room to pick up 3 or 4, or some of them might be lost. (I found 23 of them in 10 containers.)

The message mentions a sector where goodies can be found:
a container with +10 engine optimalization
a container with +10 rudder optimalization
a rare Express Hauler, the only one in a single game
The containers can be found by searching from 0, 150, 0 to 0, -150, 0 and from 0, 0, 150 to 0, 0, -150.
These crates can be spot from miles away, so no need to be too close to them.
The Express is found by searching from 150.0.0 to -150.0.0.
Important notes:
- Pandora messages should not to be confused with Treasure hunt messages!
- Treasure hunt messages will never lead you to engine or rudder tunings.
- The containers are at entirely random coordinates and sectors in every game, you will have to look out for the bbs messages to get them.
- There are only 4 engine and 4 rudder containers in a single game, so try not to waste them!
- There are never 2 Pandora containers in a single sector. If you read a Pandora message about a sector where you've already collected one there won't be another container! You are just unlucky to find the same pandora message twice.
- Avarice is a sector that can be yours later on in the game. It is located between Montalaar and New Income.
- The unknown sector will be renamed Avarice after about 5 game days. From that day on you will find bbs messages showing ridiculous bids for the sector.
- You will NOT be able to bid yourself until the sector is worth 600.000.000 credits. This happens after about 8-10 game days. Be patient.
- After 600.000.000 has been bid, dock at any station, read the bbs and you'll see you can bid as well. Your bid will start at 615.000.000.
- If you fail to get the sector in the first try you'll receive a message. You will be able to place a new bid (675.000.000) through this message, so you won't need to dock.
- After you win the sector you are asked to dock at the trading station in Avarice. After you do so you will be able to choose a name for your new sector. The trading station will be yours as well. (Wheee!)
- The names you can choose from are:
Perdition's End, Redemption, Legend's Home, Gaian Star, Prophecy Fulfilled, Avarice.
- Do not put any weapontype together with PPC's. PPC's turn slowly and will make any other weapon in the same turret turn slow as well. FAA accompanied with PPC will not be able to hit anything at all.
The best thing to do is to fill up every turret with one weapon type.
- Do not expect PPC's to hit fighters when In Sector (IS). They are too slow. Try to balance your M1/M2 using other weapons as well.
- PPC's ARE useful vs. fighters when Out Of Sector (OOS), since every round fired counts as a hit.
- M1/M2 are not godlike. Make good use of strafing and equip them wisely, or you'll risk wasting +/- 80-150 million credits. Protecting them with a wing of M3's might be wise on some occasions.
If anyone has some more stuff to add or if I made a mistake, please let me know.
