Nice one, once again Cycrow.

Will this move only the vanilla freebies, or will it include mod added freebies?

Is there anyway to tie them into the BBS? a merchant selling the locations, or rough location, so there's a possibility of us actually finding & making use of them?

Will this Explorers guild MOD/Script be compatiable with the XFP MOD?

Hmmm, maybe I can edit this to destroy freebie ships? :D

[EDIT] Yeah, it's stupid easy. Nevermind.
The first documented attempt in human history to use a rocket for spaceflight
was made in the 16th century by a Chinese Ming dynasty official named Wan Hu.
The resultant explosion presumably killed him.

If I uninstall this script will the ships go back to default sectors/positions? I installed this script unintentionally as part of a package.

I would think only if you start a new game. Objects created by scripts, stay there, unless it's actually in an uninstall script to remove them.

So, the ships *should* be there, even if the script is removed. A new game start would revert them back to Ego's positions.

Bala Gi mission

Post by bluewiz1960 » Fri, 2. Feb 07, 05:06

I installed this script as a group of scripts. Now it might have moved the yacht. I still need to go back there and look for it, but I saw it listed in CEO's Buckzoid once before pirates shot me down and I reloaded. It was gone when I looked for it again. If it is moved, how can I get it back where it belongs?

Just a note: Yeah the yacht is moved too...is there a way to move it back without starting a new game?

the script was made before bala gi so it doesn't take into account the yacht.

to move it back, ill have to make a script to move it back to where it should be.

wont take long, ill do it after work tonite

ok, the new version will skip moving the M7.

there is also another script included that you can manually run, this will search for the m7 and move it back to where it should be.

just goto the script editor and run the plugin.movefreebie.restorem7 script

Bala Gi Mission

Post by bluewiz1960 » Sat, 3. Feb 07, 08:40

Got too frustrated with trying to find the yacht so I restarted. Just a suggestion but you might want to warn people that the move freebie ship script should probably not be run until that mission is completed. On the more unusual side, while I was trying to resolve this problem, I tried a script that finds all unknown ships in the universe [for a price]. While I was trying to remove ships from that list to find the Hyperion, I saw a number of pilotless ships flying around. Was that one of the two scripts causing that or have I been not scanning enough ships to be aware of NPC pilotless ships?

well, no need for the warning, as the new version doesn't suffer from that problem, as it will not move the m7 at all.

but if it is moved, u can just run the restorem7 script and it'll move it back
