Now all we need is for Blakes 7 to be resurrected... :wink:

Kewl! (And of course B7 IS being resurrected, but I suspect you said that slightly tongue in cheek :-)).

Paul darrow is in negotiation with a BBC/US company. B7 will be filmed over here not in the states, but it will be partially American funded so the production quality should be of modern US standard than rather 1970's BBC UK!

Paul darrow Avon character will return as the sole survivor of the origional B7 crew. Blakes 7 will retain the name and be a continuation of the origional series rather than a rehash.

@PJK - indeed. :)

Yes, I'm looking forward to seeing Avon in action again. (Always my favourite character - better than Blake in my view.)

So BBC Wales are producing it, will it be "Pwy Feddyg"?

(apologies to any Welsh people if this is wrong.

Yes I heard these stories too, it will be great to see new series of both. I still watch the Dr Who re-runs on UK Gold.

Just as long as they don't get someone lame to play the Dr.

Doctor Who should be a relatively unknown actor and someone prepared to play the part seriously rather than as a clown. A bit of humour, sure, but please God not another Colin Baker or Sylvester McCoy.

He simply is the ONLY Dr. Who.

Blake's 7? Superb. Avon: The orignal Anti-hero. He and Robert Vaughn make great Not-So-Good-guys.

Although Tom Baker is my favourite incarnation, I am very fond of Jon Pertwee's Who. I like the stories involving UNIT and the Brigadier (a happy instance where budget cuts actually led, in my opinon, to some very strong stories).

A good move would be to send Eddie Izard ........ sorry, Doctor who to visit B7 in the hopefully new Tardis :) Did any one see the Alan Partridge TV show about a Sci Fi convention around christmas last year ? If not ... i understand ... but it was very funny.

As far as I know Tom Baker was taking the mick--I don't think Eddie Izzard is a serious contender!
