What is the Best Ship in X3:Reunion?

In my opinion i think the best M3 is the Split Mamba Raider as it has very good speed and very good weaponry. The crappy shields are balanced out with the fact that you can dodge anything fired at you at the speed of 200 ms-1

i prefer the nova vanguard. in my game the back turret still dont work, but you have good shielding, great guns and awesome laser recharge rate. the only down side is its obvious lack of pace. but i prefer to make it to a fight and kill everything then get there early and not live to tell bout it

Most will tell you that it depends on the situation.

In one sense they are correct. However in another, and far more important sense, they are utterly wrong. It's the Mamba Raider.

Having owned both a Mamba Raider and a Nova Raider...I'd have to say, both.

Mamba for Boom & Zoom tactics. Go in give 'em everything, zoom out for another pass. The only down side, Mamba R. has 1x25MW and lower energy reserve then the Nova. So i had 4 AHpet's+4 MD's.

Nova for those tough fights and asassin missions, slower but has 3 times the shields, much better energy capacity and with the same loadout i can take on just about anything

Last XI i did i took out 13 L's and a K.
Not to mention full blown XI to the pirate sectors where there were so meny xenon ships around me i could hardly dodge without hitting one.

I suggest owning both and using them for what they are good at respectivly.

XENON P for me its fast can turn on a nut and has shields to boot.

Boron Dolphin Super freighter I think.

However there are so many different ways to play that defining best is probably too hard. If best means most deaddly, the the dolphin wouldn't qualify. If best means 'the one I use the most', the the dolphins right up there. I think it rocks.

Drops stations too!

Also like the Scorpion Raider and the Jaguar Raider.

And the Split Mamba Vanguard.

there is a script that allows you to buy xenon ships. you cant capture a P.

so far for me its my mako for just flying around in but my nova vanguard is 10x better in combat.

if my novas turret worked then it would be my favourite.

nb. does setting a turret to 'protect me' target both ships and missiles or just ships? i know the question is academic at the moment considering ego have fogotten to fix it in a string of patches.

I agree a Perseus is the best M3 its got a good balance of speed and power

I cant wait to try a Dragon though and capping a Xenon P would be like x-mas. in July.
