I want to know what kind of drugs are in the game because my mom freaked out when she saw mild drug reference so what kind of drugs are in the game????PLEASE HELP

they are made up drugs but basically they are based on real life ones

Argon Whisky (space fuel) -> Alchol
Space weed -> Marajuana

the only references to it are BBS messages really, like the one about...

"Argon Navigation Officer Arrested after he was found under the influence of 'space fuel' and 'space weed' "

To be honest, there are more references to drugs in this thread than in the game. There was one reference to someone being "crazy on steroids" in X2 and I always thought the rating for that was a little harsh. The UK version of X3 is rated 12+ but according to the box that is for bad language (which I haven't come accross yet) not drug references.

it's proberbly worse that you can get a ship and go on the rampage and kill alll the innocent ship in a sectore then, teh refernce to drugs that are in the game. Or the fact that you can collect a pilot and sell him/her as slaves. teh drugs are just a comodity that can be bough at one station ad sold at another. their illeagal in some places and not in others. you can't use/interact with it in any other way. apart from build a station to produce it.

all things that have a more or less sexual/swearing meaning, but they did their best to conceal it at much as possible for the younger players. I even think that young players wont really get the deeper meaning of those lines.

You could probably use scripting to just change the names of the products and factories. Change them to something like Sports Drinks and Orchid Resin or something like that. Not sure what it would involve to do, since I'm no X3 scripter, but I'm sure someone in the S&M forum could help....

This game may be rated because you shoot a lot and you can shoot astronauts and they will die a slow and painful death. I mean, picture the guy in the space suit when it explodes in this massive nuke! That's even worse than the movie 'munich' or 'final destination 3' ( which absolutely sucked ).

I think the rating is okay, since 6 year old guys won't understand the complexity of this game anyways.
