Was wanting to give this a try, but error screen appears when I click on your link...........

If you need a mirror, depending upon how large the file is, and how many hits you get, I can host a mirror for you ;)

It's amazing in this world of high technology that companies hosting websites only allow a limited bandwidth. :headbang:

Don't they understand how important X2 is to so many people? We need our sector planner

I shall write to the government... all governments in fact and get this ridiculous challenge seen to once and for all!

I patiently await further information...! Hope you can sort out your link/hosting challenges soon!!! Thanks LordSuch!

For those of you that have been having problems with the website, I have found a new hosting provider...

You can now download from:

Any problems, let me know.

Sector Planner was lovely... untill I came across a bug. Using Logann's updated company.value script, I uploaded my nascent empire, fixed the values for the mines( the script doesn't figure out what yeild mines they are), and saved the game.

When I reloaded the program, the default map, as well as the map that I saved, only shows sectors that I have factories in, and within those sectors it only shows my own factories.

How is this possible? Has anyone else seen this kind of thing? i'm signing up for summer program now and I'm thinkinng this might be a reason to take that C++ programming course.

The script cant get the Yields for mines anyway, limitation of the Script Engine.

But its easier than making sure you have all the correct set prices etc.

Ive just had an idea though, maybe players could put the yield of the mine in the Mine name eg: HN-Silicon [26]

Then Lord Such and myself could take that value for our programs.

Did you save your save file over the X-Universe.xml file in the sector planner directory? This would cause this problem. (I really should make that file read only on install!)

If this is the case the easiest way to repair this is to copy your save game to somewhere safe, un-install sector planner, then re-install it. When you start sector planner you can then open the file you moved to "a safe place" and everything should be working fine.

If you have further problems, drop me a PM.

Thanks mate, worked like a charm. Yes, making the XUniverse .xml read only would be nice. Adding a note in the manual would be nice too. Cheers, great work

Sector Planner v1.5 released

I have finally found some time to update X2: Sector Planner to fix the few minor bugs remaining and to add the new features that a number of people asked for.

I have added the following functionality / bug fixes

i) Fixed infrequent crash in station calc.
ii) Right clicking set prices from the add station dialog now retrieves prices correctly.
iii) When double clicking in the station list it will no longer report an index out of bounds error.
iv) NPC mines now have the correct yield of 40 (thanks yet again Rapier).
v) Added new demand by product feature.
vi) Added support for plugins.
vii) Added sample plugin to delete all NPC stations in a sector.
viii) Added plugin by Sirus to display locations of stations within a sector.
ix) Fixed SPP profit calculations in station roster.

NOTE: There is no current support for player equipment dock / trading stations as I believe they don't have a huge impact on the economy.

As usual you can download it from: (you might need to ctrl-F5 to force a full refresh to see the new page with V1.5 on it).

http://www.lagerchurch.com/lordsuch/

As usual any questions, comments or bugs, please let me know.

Cheers

Oops! I made a minor "pigs ear" of that release, I was too keen to get it out....

The latest version (1.5.2101) is available on the website (to see which version you're currently running go to help->about).

This version fixes the following issues.

i) SP now correctly converts player save files to the new version which supports accurate SPP profit calculations
ii) Fixed the "find product" feature that I had inadvertently broken.

As always you can download it from http://www.lagerchurch.com/lordsuch/

Any further bugs or issues, let me know in this thread or via PM.

Just discovered and used your sectorplanner (V1.5).

Wow! blown away by how useful it is :), just wish I'd discovered it sooner.
Please tell my you'll update it for X3 if its possible.

Thanks - glad you've found it useful!

As for X3, its certainly a possibility although how quickly I release a version will be highly dependant upon how different the economy is and how much time I have in real life.

Test a little around while setting Argus Prime to the X3 settings I had a lot of errors.
Its imposible to remove resources from Station in the "Add station Type " and also from the station in sector.
When rightclick a pop ups debug info.
In the Selectmenü is no <empty> to select.

Do you have some economy relevanted info now?

How do you explore the new data? Do you extract from compilation or do you have to claim all sectors for new?

Lordsuch, the Sector planner is outstanding - I've been using it with X2 for ages and loved it!

So now I downloaded the x3-version of your sector planner. The feature of not showing the whole galaxy is great but how do I tell the program what I know already?

Sector Planner

Post by Sirus5 » Sat, 14. Jan 06, 09:57

Hi Sgt_Serge,

You have two options - first, right click on a sector and then in the little popup menu click explore and then the direction you want to reveal - this will reveal a sector at a time....

The second is to reveal all from the plugin option on the main menu.

For some reason the sector planner doesn't install with Microsoft's .NET framework 2.0. I was sure there would be backward-compatability. Is this Microsoft's fault? Have they rendered your potentially wonderful tool useless to me?!
How dare they!

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
application or machine (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
rather than being handled by this dialog.
