I've fought in many places, and seen war's thousand faces.
Thought I'd let everyone know I've updated my combat guide, with contributions from VincentTH and Da_Imp and I've also added a few tips about fighing against M1s and M2s in a fighter
Warning: the preceding post almost certainly contains bad grammar and spelling, sarcasm, British humour, general insanity and excessive amounts of Progressive Rock.
Check the new version.Skullguise wrote:WOW pccenter. Thats the most comprehensive list I have seen yet. Thanks!
Now if someone could help fill in more info on the ships such as cargo space, weapons loadouts , turning rates and ship speed that would be perfect.
I add all you need except weapons loadouts.
I have just put up a site and I am adding as much info as I can to it.

I was reading the X3 manual today and wanted to throw it across the room several times when I came up with this idea. I think a great community project would be to write the 'manual that should have come in the box'.
Not being too familiar with the X universe (though I own each-and-every game in the series), I cannot provide too much content generation. However, I would be happy to provide editing, spellchecking, and other such services.
What does everyone think? I think it would be nice to have a great, community-supported manual for X3.

Spreadsheet (in OOo format, that's http://www.openoffice.org for those of you who don't know) showing products and in what sectors they are sold.

Enjoy, and let me know if you find an error or omission.
EDIT: Updated 11/29. Now includes 3 lists:
1. Products being produced in each sector
2. Products carried by Equipment Docks in each sector
3. Products carried by the Trading Station in each sector

You mean pages 1 to 17 are not accurate enough.vogelap wrote:I was reading the X3 manual today and wanted to throw it across the room several times when I came up with this idea. I think a great community project would be to write the 'manual that should have come in the box'.

I found no problems with pages 17 to 84, which is the bulk of the manual. The first job of any manual is to tell the reader an feature exists. Until they know they can do something, they do not know what questions to ask.
I think the manual did a great job on these area even of a few descriptions are off a little.
