Thanks clevider :)
clevider wrote:One thing I think could be improved, for consistency's sake, is the color of the mission arrows. The mission objective indicator is still gold, but the mission arrows are blue/purple. It seems to me that either the arrows should be gold or the indicator should be blue. Personally, I would go with gold. I'll continue enjoying your mod either way, of course, but it's something I noticed.
Sure will check it over asap. One of the small things that must have slipped through the cracks ;)

After sleeping on it, maybe I wouldn't go with gold. After all, I find that locating the target is often more urgent than locating the mission objective. It's why the default blue arrows irritated me in the first place. Wouldn't it be just as bad to have mission arrows that were equally competitive for my attention? Maybe a more subdued color would be better for the mission arrows and brackets...

Sorry for contradicting myself almost 10 hours later. I literally was sleeping -- I work nights. :S

They were actually meant to get a makeover and be the same colour as the arrows. I think I must have missed them, thinking I did them with the arrows.

But yeah they are meant to highlight missions but not distract from targets. So probably going to change them to the same as the arrows or find a less intrusive colour that suits.

Wow, now that's just beautiful, I can actually see what's going on on my gravidar with a glance now, I highly recommend this mod to anybody using a widescreen monitor.

This looks really good, testing it out now :) One thing though, is it possible to show shield strengh of all the ships in sector, not just the enemies? I can't remember seeing it like that anywhere so it's probably a game engine limitation, but just in case 8) 8)

No idea about that. Not tried to do it. Would make it feel very much like an RTS then...

1.3 is up. Fixed the brackets and gave the mission arrows an overhaul.

It might be a good idea to add 1600x900 to the 16:9 category, as it's a relatively common laptop screen size.

No probs, if it's smaller than the largest 16:9 it's supported :)

Hey there,

Apologies if this is a daft question, but I've put the files in my mod folder and enabled it in the launcher.

The menu screen is gold, as are the loading screens, but in-game nothing has changed and the brackets remain :?

Obviously I'm doing something wrong.

Cheers,

SK

I take it you are using one of the No-Brackets versions. Ok if it's not working from the Mods folder then something is overriding it.

Take the CAT/DAT pair out of the mods folder and put them in your main directory. Then Rename them to the next number in the list to match the other CAT/DAT's in there (if the highest one you have at the moment is 15 name them 16).

Let me know if that works. Also which aspect ratio are you using so I can check my end :)

Hey - thanks for the quick response!

Tried that with the same result unfortunately.

I'm running 16.10 :)

Ok extract this directly to your X3TC installation folder and see if you get the updated ingame UI :)

Ok there's something a bit out of order with your install then. That should have overridden anything else using those files. Try a fresh install to a different location (unless you have steam which poses a different problem).

I just had to ask.. I know you said compatible w/ other mods but how about a cockpit mod? Especially PSC01's cockpit mod? It would seem to have areas of conflict, but idk.. And cat/dat placed higher or lower numerically than the GUI?

I don't see any errors with the Cockpit mod as all icons use the same space as the original icons. Also as a bonus it doesn't trip the modified flag :D
