Thanks for the interest. As far as compatibility, as long as the other mods don't make use of the same sectors, completely alter the universe map or eliminate any of the original factories stations or ships. Then they should (and I emphasize should) be compatible. I have played it with several mods running as fake patches and around 50 some additional scripts running as well, everything played just fine.

RSM is compatible as long as you finish TSOG before activating (installing) it. And as mentioned above Extended Horizons is compatible, Thanks go out to InvrSmall for making that happen.

Hi TEKing66,

I've tried to download/run this MOD from the MediaFire website and get an error message ....
TSOG_Missions-V1.0-3.1.2011-FakePatchVersion[1].spk
Invalid package file.

Am I doing something wrong?
Can you help?

The SPK uses the new V1.3 (beta) of Cycrow's Plugin Manager Lite.

At least I suspect that is the reason you might get the error.
I'm guessing you are using the V1.2 of Plugin Manager Lite.

Thanks for your reply.

The version of Cycrow's Plug In Manager Lite is 1.2 - the latest stable version available on Cycrow's site. So I suppose I have to wait for V1.3 to come out of Beta. How will I know when this happens and what does it "go to" then?

However, I'm also having problems downloading LV's Apocalypse Script and trying to sort this out with him. It may be that solving that may also solve this problem I'm having with your script. So I will try to sort that first.

Thanks for your help.

You could always download the zip version, and install manually as a 'False Patch'. All of the required files are packed in .cat and .dat, so there are no "loose' files to mess with. If you install it this way, you shouldn't have any issues.

Just a note, I have found the version 1.3 of the Plugin Manager Lite to be very stable at this point in it's development cycle. But, you might drop Cycrow a note in his topic on it to get a more (or less) of a comfy cozy felling about it. Not recommending you switch, just letting you know of my experience with it.

Thanks again TEKing66.

LV has given me links to his "tutorials" about MODs and Scripts which look really useful. I need to find some time after work in the next few days to work through these issues.

Now sorted and plot completed. great fun and great!!!!! rewards and Easter Eggs. Very generous of you - Thank You.

So I've got the 1.3 version and it's telling me that it's an "Invalid package file". Windows also thinks the zip is invalid. Did the 3.1.2011 version of those files get corrupt?

TSOG Missions is only at version 1.0, not version 1.3.
By you mentioning 3.1.2011, I would assume you have downloaded the .SPK version (for use with Cycrows Plugin Manager Lite V1.3). Which windows would not be able to unzip because it is not a valid zip file.

The following link should take you to the ZIP archived version.

All items required for this mod, minus the game of course) are packed in a .cat and .dat file. So, it is just a matter of extracting the files, rename them to the next higher number and place them in your X3TC folder. Then you should be good to go.

Like Octane I had the same issue before, but the zip files work great.

It is a fun campain to play and recommend them to all.
You think a hero is some weird sandwitch and not a guy attacking a Xeno J with a kestrel.

Sir.. I said .. A guy attacking a J with a kestrel is the sandwitch.

The SPK version was created with the 1.3 BETA version of the package creator tool. Maybe something changed going from beta to release to cause an incompatibility. I'll create a new package using the newest release and and see what happens.

Looks like an interesting new plot :) Just wondering if it is compatible with a long running Vanilla game. Almost finished everything, so began looking for mods etc to expand upon it, and I enjoy new missions :)

Yes, it should be compatible. It is designed to be so.

Just drop it in as a "Fake Patch". Then once all of the plots that where is patch 2.7 are completed the TSOG Missions should kick in.

Still a fun mini campain to play. I recommend it..
(After playing it the 5th time)

Do you plan to make another one for X3:TC or you waiting for Rebirth?

Happy to hear you enjoy the missions, it gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling knowing that. :D

I do have plans for some more 'mini-plots', but time seems against me there. So they may not make it until after Rebirth. Once it is released and I get my head around the changes/additions to Mission Director, then I will (more than likely) do something similar for it. I imagine most people will probably concentrate the efforts there. But if there is enough interest in new missions for X3TC, after Rebirth is released, then I may create some more missions for X3TC this coming winter. Spring, summer and fall
leave me with very little time for playing and/or witing MD code. :(

But who knows I could win the lottery tomorrow, that would change everything. :o

Just to note a small problem with the 'Destroy the Katana with stolen data' mission. I accidentally destroyed the Katana by colliding with it. (Happens a lot to me ... ) and unfortunately that broke the mission. It shows the mission as ongoing with 'Destroy: <Invalid>'.

Yeah, my real problem is not remembering to save often enough.
