Hey !

I've been noticed :)

Err, yeah updates. Sorry that YA didn't get some love recently. And i had to finish the work on PG and ADS first, superbox related.

The issue with YA is that i have switched my focus on releasing the library/framework to implement the Faction AI (i have spoken about it somewhere else on this board). Not the final "full mod" project, but at least something to get started with.

Basically it will merge the methods i use to track bounties, handle guilds, relations, comms, news, ship/ai commands and probably the mission system (though one). When done, making faction plugins like YA will be much easier for me. I've also something in mind for the Xenons.

If i continue to code YA independently, it will be probably be pointless as i will have to rewrite whole portions of code.

EDIT // Oh yeah, ETA unknown. If you really want an unreliable one, the framework should be done in a month maybe, YA will probably be the first plugin to use it, so I will resume working on it after that.

Yaki Armada 2 build 205 released!

Yeah i know i just said "no more release of YA" a few days ago. :p

But let's say i don't like to let bugs behind me. So this is *probably* the last release of YA until i have finished the Faction Framework. After that things will probably go faster.

So, if you are upgrading from a previous version. Copy your files as usual. Load your savegame. Disable YA in AL settings, wait for the confirmation. And turn it back on for the update to take effect. Sorry, i've yet to include the self update mechanism.

Basically this new version corrects the most obvious bugs. It also jump to beta status, because the release is stable enough for anybody to use it.

Awesome! So far so good. I saw a Yaki ship called "Bloody Mary", I stayed the HELL away from it.

I obviously was looking at the pirate guild mod.. but is the yaki mod basically the exact same sort of revamping, but for the yaki as opposed to normal pirates?

As explained in the topic, Yaki Armada mainly manage a handful of Yaki carriers making them quite dangerous and helps the player to "role-play" as a yaki.

I wouldn't recommend Yaki Armada to someone who is new to scripts and mods, this is a beta version and it's bound to have a few annoying bugs / issues. Pirate Guild, on the other hand, is perfectly stable and use-able by anyone :)

build 210 released

Here we go with a new build 210.

This version corrects a major bug causing the carriers to idle indefinitely near a Yaki station, usually because they are too far away from a valid target sector.

It also fixes several issues in the AI and docking procedures (yes, again). And a bunch of smaller changes i've not kept track of. The french translation has been fixed.

You'll need to disable / re-enable the plugin in your AL settings for most changes to take effect.

Note to translators: No changes, files are up to date.

I just wanted to clarify, any verification that IR will work with this?

I currently have the latest of YA2 installed and I'd love to add Improved Races.

Another question, I installed the latest build and restarted the plugin as instructed..

Now the yaki equipment dock is no longer in senators badlands. Did it simply spawn somewhere else? If so, is there some sort of rhyme or reason to where?

I miss it! Always had more cigs for me to buy :]

YA spawn a Eq dock in every yaki sectors where there's a lone yaki shipyard. So, granted you're using the usual map, yes it always spawn in senator badlands (as long as the SY isn't destroyed). However its position in the sector is random, and as this sector is quite big you may need to look for it a bit.

In the worst case, just disable / reenable again to get it as a more convenient position :)

Hi,

I'm having problems downloading this today, the dl stops before it's finished so never downloads the full file.

I've tried several times (with varied amounts, up to 40%, being downloaded before it stops) and on more than one computer.

I've downloaded other stuff, such as Pirate Guild, without issue in the past.

I'm using a free web-hosting company for my website and files, so the bandwidth and availability aren't always optimal depending on how busy the server is.

I just tried now, and the download was successful.
