Really not knowing what you are doing but this script has worked for me many times.

So,,
Change pilots name to Resetplots
wait
betty voice comes on and saids Cheats enabled

then by changing the pilots name again you can type one of theses;
(Only the ones in italics)

ResetTPsc1 - Terraner Plot Scene 1
ResetTPsc2 - Terraner Plot Scene 2
ResetTPsc3 - Terraner Plot Scene 3
ResetTPsc4 - Terraner Plot Scene 4
ResetTPsc5 - Terraner Plot Scene 5
ResetKP - Khaak Plot
ResetGP - Goner Plot
ResetTP20 - 2.0 Aldrin Expansion Plot
ResetTH - Treasure Hunt
ResetBoPsc1 - 3.0 Plot BoP Scene 1
ResetBoPsc2 - 3.0 Plot BoP Scene 2
ResetBoPsc3 - 3.0 Plot BoP Scene 3

Be sure to use capital letters where shown.
Otherwise you have to start over I do believe.

How long do I have to "wait" I have placed the files in every folder in my X3 Terran Conflict folder...

I have X3 AP installed di this have anything to do whit it?
Tried to restart a new character to see if it would work but still not working.

The problem is I never hear Betty's voice saying "Cheats enabled"

Is there any other way to use this script?

Yes.

The AP version of this tool is AP Plots Reset 1.0

I have it installed but I'm not playing it!
I start the X3TC.exe file and not X3AP.exe

Have tested that one too and still not working...

To clearefy I bought the x3 gold edition on steam.

TC version goes in X3TC\director.

AP version goes in X3TC\addon\director.

You know that you need to change the player name, not the ship name, right? You must have exactly the same case as instructed.

If the files are installed correctly they should work.

Sorry to necro this but will this disable steam achievements? I expect the answer is yes but I really, really hope it doesn't as I don't want to restart and lose all my progress.

Sorry for necroing this topic but I have a problem with some bugged Terran missions. Once I reset the plot, the bugged mission doesn't clear from the mission list but the new one instantly starts. So now I have two Terran missions on the list and both of them are telling me that I should fly to Asteroid Belt, though tasks are different. The problem is that once I fly there the game crashes or freeze.
I'd appreciate if someone could tell me if there is a way to remove the bugged mission from the mission list so I could keep playing the rest of the plot.

Just had to write and say thank you. I managed to accidentally kill Mahi Ma in The Hub plot by trading my cargo lifesupport while he was onboard. It totally bugged the mission.

Using your script and the additional "The Hub" extension from page 6 of this thread, I was able to reset and restart the mission.

You'll be proud to know I didn't take the new copy of the Enhanced Dolphin either.

Im playing AP with TC Plots for AP.
will it work with TC plots in AP. There is a restart option in the mod but only, if it is not finished. I ended Gonerplot but it still gives me missions
