ok I am obviously out of my league I guess, I did that got evrything squared up, but it is still not available in my game in saturn, do I need to start a new game in order to be ablt to get the normandy?

If you were able select the mod at the start than it's installed properly.

Try saving your game and loading it again.

If it still doesn't work than the script may not be adding it to the shipyard, even though the ship is in the game.

You can download the cheat scripts pack and cheat yourself one, instead of trying to add it to the shipyard.

I should add that I still cannot select the mod package box at the start up... is there a file I need to enable/delet or modify in order to get this option to work on the startup?

It may have something to do with the fact that it's from Steam. I have the retail version, so i can't help with that.

thats cool.... I am still happy with what I have now, mods are great, but I just can't figure 'em out half the time, thank you for your assistance

To get it to work there are 2 things you need to move. Extract the folder to your desktop. Inside you will see M6NormandyByTenk1.3.cat/dat files.

These need to be moved to c:\....\steamapps\common\x3:tc\Mods folder (if Mods dose not exist create it.)

You then need to move the file setup.tenk.normandysetup.xml into the scripts folder. You should then be able to select it in the main menu.

now all we need is a pirate normandy with a bad boy paintjob and the ability to mount ibl/pbg instead of terran weapons.

I think i have a bug
i play as Shaperd now with this nice M6 that fights like M3
but with better shields ^^
anyways when i set it for example to "dock" on a jump gate
(so it auto pilot its way threw the gate)
about... 20km or 30km BEFORE the gate the ship drops its speed to 100...
Same thing happening when docking stations
now i know there is speed reduction when you actually docking
but i got speed reduction 20KMs before i even start docking :shock:

This is the same for most ships when your trying to dock at Terran stations, because the stations are so massive. It's faster if you manually fly a ship in then set it to autopilot when your close enough.

Man im talking about all races stations
And in case you didnt noticed, its the same with jump gates

Well that problem is usually associated with Terran stations, because of their massive collision bubble. I have no problem docking at other races stations when i'm flying the Normandy, have you tried testing it with other ships? If it's still happening with other ships then the problem is caused be something else other than this addon.

Hi i've downloaded the mod i've got it to come up in the mod package screen and in the game start menu but when i go to start the game it seems to freeze on the loading screen any ideas?

Ok I can't get it to work as a standalone false patch, but i know why specifically. I use apricotslice's AMS mod and it conflicts with one of his custom ships. The ship is the gun bus. I'm very new to the scripting in the X games. Does anyone know how i could give the ship a new id to prevent the conflict or a way to run both.

yea i've had the same issue with ship scripts overwriting one another :shock:

current issue is the bsg ship mod, it overwrote the normandy, i reinstalled the script over-top of the bsg mod again, and now the normady is available at almost every shipyard i go to ... :lol: gg

I wrote a speed docking script for that. =)

normandy is in tships


so are other ship mods


tships is in fake patches. higher numbers overwrite older tships.

Thanks for this great ship!

I have just one little question:
How can I edit its specs? I.e. which program can I use?

I want to get rid of the hangar slot and make some changes to the weaponry it can carry.

Any help is appreciated! :)

doubleshadow's x3 editor for the weaponry, not sure about the hangar slot but should be able to do it in there.
