Importing .bod in 3d max 8 with textures...help

Post by bounty_hunter66 » Sun, 30. Nov 08, 02:18

I succesfully imported a weapon bulled .bod into 3dmax 8 but it doesnt have any textures (its grey). I extracted all data from 01.cat. Its bitmap seems to be fx_beams.txt wich is a DDS file. How do i get 3d max to import textures aswell? Does it have to do with being a .txt format and not .dds?

EDITED!

i may be wrong but i think the pbb files are the compressed ones, you might want to try extracting it again (also make sure you have the modmanger set to terran conflict not reunion)

What smbh said. When you extract, Mod Manager renames all the DDS files to txt for some reason. Just use a mass-rename as suggested (I use Microsoft's Power Toy "Command Prompt Here"). Should import fine after that. To expound on that a bit: <rename><in-file><out-file>, wildcards accepted. Using the suggested command will rename all files in the folder from txt to dds.
