Hi there, I got a "forbidden" message when trying to download this mod via Google Chrome. Any clue?

Sorry for doing such necro, but this interface is really good.
Would you mind if I'll mix it with Military Hud by ulfius

While this long dead thread is partially reanimated :D

I just want to pass on my thanks to Samuel for this great mod; it was my first mod and it is still, after 2 years of playing modded games, my most essential mod. So much so that I completely forget that the UI is modified. The cluttered style of the original UI drove me mad and onto this mod and I haven't looked back since.

Where ever you are Samuel. Thank you.

Reposted on the X3 Google Code site:

YS-GUI 1.5 (HUD Mod)

Unlike most mods, this is a Windows installer. You can open it in an archival program to see the contents.

The full installer may work for AP, although I have not tried it. However, I do successfully use the transparent-menu part in both TC and AP. Here's how:

I right-click the .exe to open with 7-zip, then extract only b.cat and b.dat, which I then rename to numbered .cat/.dat and install as a fake patch. The b.cat/.dat is the transparency part, which I really love for making it easier to navigate while reading a menu.

Just thought I'd check to see if there was any chance of you re-uploading this mod. I can't seem to find any other cockpit mods worth having, and yours was mentioned in an older Let's Play video of TC.
