the latest version is built into the plugin manager and its generated automatically based on your current wares files

so works for both TC and AP

Hmm, because I just ran into an annoying problem.

I got into my head to try and play a vanilla game, so used the plugin manager and set mode=vanilla.

When that was too boring, I reverted back to mode=modified.

Problem is, after doing that, a load of wares changed name to
ZA_EMP_<numbers>.

Ones I've ID'd so far are Supply, Patrol and Explorer software, Figher drones MKII, Salvage Claim Software, ect.

I don't really know anything about scripting, but it seems I broke some links somewhere.

Any way I could fix this? Any more info I can supply?

I updated to the last version of X Plugin Manager, tried DL'ing more up to date mods.. nothing.

I even tried restoring a backup of my game I made mid 2010 when I had just finished modding it -> same result. Mind you, this was a steam-backup, so probably worth nothing ^^

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Been playing these saves for 3 years almost, would hate to see them unplayable..

so i just installed the plugin manager 1.47. The packages which are already installed, the EMP isn't mentioned. Do i need to install it or is it only not shown.
Earlier you mentioned it would be included, but i'm not quite sure now.

I've still got a bunch of ZA_EMP_BLANK_WARE_CUSTOM in my game and I want to troubleshoot but I can't seem to find a list of what mods have used which ones so far.

The Script/MOD list sticky only lists the SS_ware list.

Is there a master list link anywhere that has kept up with who is using which wares so far?

Hey guys, sorry to revive an old thread but only recently introduced to this game and its damn awesome. Anyway wanted some mods and I got Complex Cleaner mod as well as Cycrows multiscript mod. I have EMP 2.01 installed and the 37 mods that comes with Cycrows mod.

Anyway the problem I am having that I cannot seem to fix is the fact that my Fighter MKII factory is not coming up correctly. It shows it is creating MKII fighters but the factory name is ZA_EMP_BLANK_WARE_CUSTOM10_2. Now this would not be a major problem but it is extrememly annoying as it is making the complex it is built into flash yellow all the time despite me having the resources to fuel it. Any help is greatly appreciated. Sorry again for dragging up an old thread but cannot seem to find a solution to this.

EDIT: This happens on all software as well.

Where did you get EMP 2.01? That sounds like an old version to me.

EMP is built into the Plugin Manager. I have had the best luck with removing EMP mods completely, then open and close the Plugin Manager to get it to rebuild EMP-aware files. The PM will not do the job correctly if you have a version of EMP installed, because the PM assumes that you know what you are doing. ;)

Also, be aware that some scripts that use EMP use an outdated version and will not work without modification with current versions of EMP. If you need to debug after doing the above, then list the scripts you have installed and the exact text of the errors.

Hi LV and DrBullwinkle, thanks for the reply, I downloaded the plugin manager from http://cycrow.thexuniverse.us/ and the EMP mod was already installed on it. Also LV where do I stick that file? Sorry for stupid question, just do not know correct foder, I am using Albion Prelude if that matters.

You are using out-of-date stuff, Chaney.

Get the current Plugin Manager from the sticky thread at the top of this forum. Remove any other EMP installation that you have installed. Then open and close the Plugin Manager. You do not need the script that LV linked if you have the current PM.

I apologise for the necro, but this seems to be the best place to post my issue. I have several broken item names in the game, and have too many scripts installed to isolate the cause by disabling them one by one. I also don't know of any way to identify the cause by the broken name, so I'm going to list them here as I find them and hope someone can help, either with the name of the script that is broken, or with a method with which I can figure out the cause myself.

Here's the list of broken names, their cost, and station (will update as I play):

I am using the Plugin Manager (1.47) with the build-in EMP. I'm not using XRM, nor did I install EMP separately.

Haven't played X3TC since X3:R. Bought X:R, hated it. Back to X3:TC.

downloaded Cycrow's script pack. It seemed to show up ok. Then I went to buy a Nividium mine and the Paranid don't have it listed. Neither does Terraformer HQ.

So I did a LOT of digging and found the EMP pack because when I installed all Cycrow's stuff, some of the new wares showed up with codes like ZA_EMP_10073_ blah blah blah. I saw I wasn't supposed to need the EMP pack but I didn't know what else to do. I DID reinstall X3TC in the Games folder because of that Win7 screwup so that's handled. I ALSO (funny enough) discovered that the PM default installs to Program Files (X86) so I reinstalled it in Games as well.

Still getting the ZA_EMP_ blah blah blah and now most of the ship names have gone away in the sensor readout.

I just really want my Nividium mine to work. All the other scripts seem to be showing up in the script editor. Yes, I enabled Thereshallbewings.

Help?
