Dang, Cycrow..do you ever sleep? lol ok, then another new boarding script, sooner or later everyone will learn how to make these wprk, any hints as to the final speed of your 'turbo'd troopers?'

What plugin manager should be used?

Cycrows plugin manager only excepts exe files named X2 or X3 while the steam instal names the exe X3TC.

As far as I've been able to tell it's been hard coded into the script.

Basically set the local var named boosted to FALSE. The file is called something like dropspeed.

nemesis, u need to use the beta version from the sticky in this forum, not the one from the download site. That site will be updated eventually with the new version. But for now you have to get it seperatly from another link.

it should be version 2.20, which is TC compatable. Also remember the scripts. This is only temporary until the final version of the plugin manager is available. Which will be when ever i've fixed the ship installing :P


Goldfinch, no the turbo is not optional yet, i will add some configure options later when i add the rest of the script.


The max speed can go upto about 150m/s. However, this will decrease over time. Ie, they launch at full speed and thier speed will slowly drop back to 24m/s eventually. If you close enoguh they will prolly board before that happens

[REQUEST] one button command

one button command to tell a boarding ship to board a target.

as right now its impossible to fight a ships shield down,avoid fire AND tell a boarding ship when to attack.
by the time you go through all the menus and keys to tell it to board,you have been destroyed.

attacking the brigantine,i can get his shields down and circle its arse taking no hits,but as soon as i enter the menus to try and board,...BOOM.
one menu pop up and i`m dead.

i read this one,seemed a bit too cheaty for me,thats why i spelled it out so clearly.
just wanted a single key click to lauinch boarding.

this script changes too much for me.

i dont want to "improve" boarding,just want to avoid all the menu clicking.

admit this script is what should have been done in the first place,but its a slippery road if i start using easy ways.

its like that "destroy target" script,use that and the games over in a few hours.
i know,its a self control issue...as a woman i have none :lol:

I dropped a gang of troops on several ships, and everytime I get a call that they cant cut through the hull, and they retreat, is that too low on engineering skills or mechanics? Obviously not hacking, the poor guys didnt get a chance yet, lol.

trained a set to full and still get failed.

ps..i used the no sun script and all of a sudden i`m painted with a modified tag here ?,bloody cheek :evil:

If you PM me an email address I could send you Cycrow's initial version of this script which is just a boarding hotkey (you need to be in the boarding ship, I think). Or just wait for him to implement options in this one.

of course u did, it means your game is modified, which it is, because u used a mod to "modify" the existing game, so what was you expecting ?

Define "legit".

They could be modified to have ions/boarding pods, and added to a shipyard to buy.

In fact, I'm flying one that I bought. ;)

Ok, can someone tell me this? How many men does it take to cap a M6..I'm using an M6..so I have 5 on board. I was told by one person it takes 4 for an M6, but dont know, before I start worrying about more training, I'll make sure I have enough people. I hope an M7..can be capped with 5, if not then they cna tbe capped untill I get an M7M..lol. :roll:

the most you can send in an M6 is 6.

the amount you actually need is based on the skills of the marines you have, as well as what defences the m6's have.

also note that Terran ships are harder, and Xenon ships are harder still

So Cycrow, are the ships that marines can launch from hard coded into the EXE?

its in the standard controls menu when you assign your other keys.

goto the interface section at the bottom then is a section for Extensions. All script hotkeys are found there
