Missions as Data Trackers?

Post by Draslin » Sat, 25. Oct 08, 18:42

I'm at work right now so I can't even begin looking to see if I'm crazy or not but here's the idea.

In X3TC you have missions that displays some data like where you need to go and who you need to talk to.

How formatable is that information? Is the heading assembled into a line of text and punted out to your mission log? OR is it very specific this is the title this is the heading this is the destination and description of the objective, etc.

I'm asking because it would be a good way to keep track of something like a universal trader, if you can create your own message you should be able to update the mission heading with information like the profits made, how much they've spent etc. Then you can look at your mission log at any time to see how your universal trader is doing.

Of course if it beeps every time you update it that might deter the interest somewhat. :)
Its not a hug so much as "Help me I'm dieing!"
