grax im using your better frame rate script and it installed as a spk.
can i use this mod with that 1?
copied the files in2 the mod folder and now i can choose no civs or better frame rate.

The v1.3 patch made changes to the jobs file, so I updated this mod with the new jobs file. If you've patched to v1.3, please download the new mod.

Just extract it to your \mods directory and from the pre-launch menu click the "Select Mod Package" button and select it.
I have a distinct lack of a mod folder....this would be the first script im trying, so I haven't done anything special to the game yet except for the plugin manager

Yup, unless it's reworked with the new 2.1 TShips file, it'll eat something when used.

who are civilians? Are they just random ships that don't really do anything to the economy in the game? It would be sad to remove every trading vessel from the game, but I don't really care if I remove the "argon garbage collector" (made that up) or whatever. I'm struggling to get save my cpu some work right now.

Anything specifically called "[Race] Civilian Ship" is removed. The specially named ones are left alone, IIRC. All of them serve no purpose but to float around between stations, being "colorful."

Hello

On the Community Script & Mod Download Library for X3: Terran Conflict page i can see this:

[2008-12-16] No Civilians by Graxter *
* Released before X3TC 2.0, so may not be compatible. Authors: Add note to Submission thread if/when you update for 2.1 compatibility.


My question is:
This mod is compatible to work correctly with 2.5 update ? or not ?

All this mod contains is a new Jobs file, which I don't think interferes with any patches after 2.0. I'll look in a few minutes and edit this post with a definite answer.

EDIT: Oops...no, I was wrong. Whatever patch came before 2.5 (2.1?) contains a Jobs file, which means there's likely a conflict. Which also means I've been playing with a possibly messed up Jobs file. Time to get to work on that... :)
