The 5700FX is a decent card, I had one until it recently died on me. The only problem I had with it was not being able to play games at 1280*1024 resolution. 1024*768 was ok though.

Where did you hear 6600GT's are 128 bit?

That's mine right there, and it's most deffinately 256 bit.
that's maybe the chip's internals...but normally talking about the difference between 128 bit or 256 bit on graphics cards referes to the memory bandwidth...which IS 128 bit for 6600/gt series...

Apologies to original poster tagging this on the bottom but there has been a few threads locked on this subject.

I’ve settled on a 6600GT (AGP) and noticed Overclockers do an ‘own brand’ (re-badged) version for under £90 (inc vat). Has anyone any experience of their own brand products?

overclockers are generally very good on both price and quality

plus if you do have problems with it, they have pretty good customer service and u'll be able to get it replaced without too much hassle

for am extra £15 you might as well go for a basil 6800LE card it will be quicker than the 6600Gt
Don't try to appeal to my good nature --- I haven't got one

I thought a 6600GT performed better than a 6800LE?

the 6600gt and 6800le's are fairly even as far as performance goes
but the le's can have thiere pipes and shaders unlocked and gives them a considerable boost in perforance
as well as the advtage of the 256bit memory bandwidth compared to 128 on the 6600 cards

if your lucky the 6800le's can even be unlocked as far as 6800gt levels

I have one of those, and OMG are they utter *****. Trust me you do not want to get one of those, plus they are grosly underpowered, it doesn't even do the likes of halo properly, neverlone X3. Sorry but 100 pounds for that is a rip off. I would be looking at 6800 range personally.
