Explosion in london
Looks like an accident rather than anything suspect, and no one dead thank God.

I deleted my original post for being inappropriate, I didn't realise it was so serious.

"So getting this chick back is more than just getting a chick back. It's the concrete manifestation of an abstract policy goal. And we like concrete - right, Vic?"

London explosion coverups ? Power surge i don't think so
The corporate news media is telling us it's a power surge on the underground but there is a double decker bus with its roof blown off right outside my flat with bodies lying on the street.

This is starting to look like a mild terrorist attack. Only one fatality reported, on the bus. I wonder if we should expect more?

Well there you go, its terrorists isn't it!
I'm shocked, I've heard and I believed that the anti-terrorism measures in London were pretty damn good post 11/09, especially on the underground (such an obvious target!!).
I hope all my friends are ok!!

Well. I hope hes OK then. This doesnt look like it can escalate much more. I bet security is tight now. What do you think of risks to the rest of the country.

Saving grace for those injured on the bus was it was right outside the BMA.
Sounds like it was meant to cause maximum disruption to transport, and it also appears more suspicious packages have been found.
The police are about to conduct a series of controlled explosions. Cannon Fodder won't be back until tonight, probably - chances are he's been evacuated.

Who, indeed. Looking for a plus side, at least the UK is very used to terrorism and unlikely to be disrupted to the extent that the USA was in 2001. 20+ years of the IRA... hell, even my building has a bomb drill as well as a fire drill.

That is what I was going to say. At least they all have well practiced procedures in place from all the IRA bombs over the years.Brianetta wrote:Who, indeed.
