Oh no! Minecraft is one of those games making time go by so fast and suddenly it is a whole new month. :D It is so fun and addicting.
Gladly, last time I couldn't find someone to play with which was boring and I was too lazy to fiddle with the mod pack, honestly. :P

Now back to space engineers... :P

Tamina! Join the server! :D
I was very briefly on the server yesterday, the spawn is in a very pristine condition. no big quarry holes to be seen yet^^

What?! TNT isn't available on this server?

I agree that messy mining should be avoided. It's just not polite.

But, how long until someone builds a giant phallus? (Prob won't happen on this small community server. Probably...)

I put a lot of hours into this game a long time ago, mostly played on my own, haven't played this game in yonks, but am tempted to come out of retirement. :)

I've never played it in a multiplayer environment. I played it a great deal in single-player, though. What's multiplayer like? What do people "do" there? I've seen a few multiplayer vids and it just looks like people stand around comparing "skins" or build towns and such.

/no idea

Then, there's the PVP aspect, which I don't really understand. Even though it supports it, it seems like it's just not really well optimized for that sort of play. Sure, one can build all sorts of "defenses" but actively trying to destroy someone's really prized hard work seems a bit... too cruel in a "building game."

I usually try to build nice little environments for people to look at and explore. Just artist things.

Playing in multiplayer in small groups like we do is just for helping each other and talk to friendly people. With mods, the process of gathering resources can be very hard for some stuff and there are some "mobs" that are much easier to kill with some help.

PVP in minecraft changed a lot, because they changed the combat system, now is not just spam atack, because you have a little cooldown for each weapon and if you use it before finishing the cooldown you do almost no damage.

Most pvp servers are focused in one kind of gameplay, like king of the hill, or hunger games with different lobbys for eachother, servers like mine usually even disable pvp.

PD: I saw your message lino :D take what you may need to start from that ugly cabin on the mountain hahahah

Was difficult to find your hut on thop of the mountain, as the spawn was rather covered in trees. I took two iron for shears to get wool for a bed.
I build a small house on the small hill between your mountain and the spawn.

Any good mod i should start working with? I will avoid bees by all costs, they destroyed my morale last time around :D
Which energy type should be used? RF?

That depends, if you want fast ores to start crafting stuff i recomend thermal expansion.

And for energy, i think right now every mod on minecraft uses RF, most of them are compatible between them.

Cheers, will take a look at TE. I just dig a shaft the vanilla way down to diamond level and instantly found a few :D
When are you on the server? digging alone is only half the fun.

the smeltery is useful, nice. Any plans for decorating the spawn? its a bit confusing, when you join and you are stuck in a dense forest.
I might want to build a small plaza. We yould then set the spawn to the middle of that

I think thats a great idea, i was setting up at my place some starting stuff so the "life" in the game is easier, if i have time tonight i will start terraforming the spawn point :D

On the twitch app select mods on the top, then minecraft, and then go to modpacks and search for Feed the beast revelation.

Install that one and then launch it, put the address i sent to you in the PM on the multiplayer addess list and you are ready.
