Amazon has it now. So far season 3 seems to be available to buy from amazon. It will probably be a while before it's free with prime video?

Interesting, I knew that Amazon had bought up the show to produce season 4 but that decision was made well after the end of season 3.
I presumed that things like distribution rights for season 3 would already have been set in contractual stone long before the fate of season 4 was decided. . . . . and given the previous two seasons, I further assumed it would go to Netflix first.

And that might well be exactly what's happened. There's a difference between the free broadcast rights and the pay-per-view rights--for example, both season 1 and 2 of The Expanse are, were, and remain Netflix exclusive content in the UK, but you can still pay to stream them on Amazon if you so choose.

Recently finished watching "The Bodyguard" on Netflix. Since it was made in England, I had to turn on English sub-titles, in order to understand what they were saying. Other than that, it was enjoyable enough.

I lol'd pretty darn hard at that. :)

Sometimes, I watch English productions just so I can exercise my translation skills. There are times, though, especially in series comedies, where the patois is so thick I can't understand anything at all. And, then the audience laughs at a joke, but I'm still trying to figure out what's going on and the punch-line doesn't make any sense. I can usually get by if they use their hands for emphasis or point at something, though...

An interesting note on that - Foreign "cartoons" are pretty easy to understand, even if they're filled with untranslatable gibberish. Heck, the best of them invent a language of gibberish. Since "visual" is what the medium is all about, actual translation isn't usually needed.

Wow, how did I miss that, thanks for the link!
Been annoyed for some time that Season 3 only seemed to be only available on Netflix,
mind you Nov 4th 2019 is quite a while to wait for it :(

edit:
In fact too long...apparently it's on Amazon.com Prime

...which it turns out you can only buy if you live in the US, how irritating :( :( :(

There has to be some licensing and publishing issues around that season and Amazons purchase of The Expanse.

I still don't understand how Netflix managed to bag the rights outside the US in the first place, when it's always been an Amazon show over there.

There is no one "International Copyright Law." Copyright protection is entirely reliant on treaty agreement. This creates the foundation for international copyright protection as being "by country." So, it sets up a situation where regional distribution rights are entirely preferred and natural. There are also other factors, like publication standards varying by region, etc, that reinforce the idea that each region requires a specific set of standards, further eliminating the notion of an "International Release" of copyrighted work by one agency. And, so, the outlets go to war to get the rights to release copyrighted works in their regions... Much to the delight of copyright holders, more often than not.

Watching Grimm again, with son. He loves it. Tried getting into Salvation, just made it thru S1 and naah. That's enough. Watching Orphan Black, 911, Black Lightning and Gotham at the mo (OB on my own, 911 & BL as they come out, Gotham with the missus).

Expanse is gone from Netflix, and is not on Prime on Amazon - asked about it on Twitter, and they just gave a boilerplate response about "different programs in different regions". Didn't say when S3 was due to land, either.

And if you've not watched Final Space yet, do so. Or I send KVN round to have a really annoying chat. I hate him SO much.

So it has! It had better come to Amazon Prime, then, or I'm going to be annoyed.

HBO is letting people watch Game of Thrones for free from November 21-25, 2018..

http://collider.com/watch-game-of-thron ... nksgiving/

HBO Thanksgiving Free Preview, which allows users to sample the streaming networks services from Wednesday, November 21, to Sunday, Wednesday 25

It also looks like Northern Exposure is getting a remake with the original cast.

Currently watching Stan Against Evil on Hulu which is like Ash vs Evil Dead and the Detectorists mixed together. It's not that exciting.

CTV has it's digital super hub partially up. It has quite a few free movies. I am not sure if it is even Canada region locked.
