Yeah, I love it. I already played Termniator Resistance and the Terminator franchise really is awesome for postapoc games. Defiance just rocks - I love the combat atmosphere and the game mechanics (armor layers / vulnerable sides, repair system, fuel & ammo system). Also it's very nice we can field Bradleys against Terminators. Very satisfying.

The campaign so far is very nice - the 3rd faction unlocked in the campaign is well done so far. Skirmish indeed needs some work but is okay-ish. Devs already announced that they had to choose towards the release so co-op / skirmish didn't got all the things they wanted to have in there. Yet. :)
I like the mission design so far - it make you feel the world doesn't revolve around you triggering the story scripts, but rather that war and faction events are running on their own, so you have to react to them.
There are some fetch quest to change the pace after main objective is done, so it's plenty things to to on combat missions.

Seem like The Movement just flock to me, so now I have impressive Mad Max style convoy with 18-wheel supply trucks, a lot of technicals and vans, escorted by Abrams, Bradley, Stryker and Humvee.
Supplies on the open world map are tight, so I'm not sure if I'm not overextend myself.

.... and the Survivalshow must go on! Nightingale: I've already spent ~ 30 hours with it. It's a very nice Survival Title with some fresh Ideas & great graphics in an alternate Victorian Era World(s). Little Steampunk with Faes and magic/mythic creatures. Even if my graphics card (RX 6600 XT) is under a lot of strain - with the lighting effects I guess. Good EA-Game so far, but you'll notice the EA status very strongly here and and you have to get involved in the game and find out a lot of things for yourself.

The AI is still very rudimentary and.... simply bad for my taste, hardly any hit feedback etc.. It has somewhat Mount&Blade Style with damage based on the Momentum. But it's a lil' clunky around the edges, yes. It's even more "EA" than "Enshrouded" and "Palworld", for example and the game also suffers a little from bizarre design decisions. E.g. bad overcomplicated UI (Ok, X4 too sometimes :D hrrrm hrrrm), confusingly enigmatic texts scattered throughout the game, often without reference to the immediate surroundings, which make the game more difficult for the player (me) than providing an uplifting experience nevertheless.

But: I really like the rather fabulously colourful setting (I find the zombie apocalypse setting ultra-boring by now) and I wish the game the success it absolutely deserves in my opinion. But there must go a lot of love in this game. But what was already in the Game makes fun and I'm sure (or I hope so) the developers will do their best in future to make this game a far better experience.

Rating so far a 7/10 for me. For an EA Title not bad overall - but I would advise you to wait a little longer if you don't really care about the setting and beautiful Artstyle. There is also a lot of competition in this genre that's for sure.

Looks like Dragons Dogma II isn't getting good reviews. 34% positive with 2725 votes on steam currently. High purchase cost then micro transactions in a single player game to do normal game stuff. Capcom went nuts making it a money grab.

Currently playing Far Cry 6. You play as a revolutionary. You start off with good equipment vs having to be desperate during the start of the game. Usually the desperate part is the best part vs being over powered. There's pet companions but not exactly like Far Cry Primal.

For me, Steam reviews are the only place where actual gamers can voice their opinion and AAA companies cannot manipulate the rating.
If game has mixed or negative rating, there is 100% something wrong with the game.

If the game is good, but become trash with patches/dlc/updates, rating will go down.
In rare cases when the game start with problems, but improve, rating goes up (Helldivers 2, X4:Foundation as example).

Review bombing is a myth by companies that produce trash products and scam people with release day/week shilling, hype and FOMO.

I really found out that the best way to check and review games, is to wait 6 months to go past shilling, hype, twitter drama, day one patches and several rounds of updates.

Yeah, it's a real mess. A RPG with hundreds of hours of playtime gets downvoted on release date because of microtransactions. There aren't even reviews beyond 10 hours of playtime. Best to wait until the rage cooled down.

Bad performance seem to be the main issue - microtransactions are just cherry on top.

About Dragons Dogma 2 - sales seem to rise, as does the player count. Over the last few hours the player count (on Steam) rose from 147k to now 190k. :o

Dragons Dogma 2 is up to 45% positive 21621 reviews. Has been moved from #1 seller to #2. Pretty sure they'll turn a profit. Main game might be about 24 hours long then side quests etc... Game is still hack and slash.

With Dragons Dogma 2 I will wait and see. The microtransactions are the least of my problems there, as you don't really seem to need any of them and can easily unlock them in the game. It's probably just another test of how far you can go as a developer with such nonsense.

More serious for me is the lack of performance & crashes, even for players who have much better hardware installed. If Capcom doesn't improve this, I might buy it in a sale if I've upgraded my computer by then. I'm a gamer and not a financier of AAA studios with "green banana software" (don't know the english use of speech, I hope you know what I mean :D ) , so I have nothing to give away. EA-Indie games are a different matter again... :)

30k reviews and 50% positive as of now. Seems like it's stabilizing / the main rage is over.

@Alerion

They should know better by now, agreed - but console game studios seem always to be overstrained by PC optimizations. (not that pure PC devs aren't hit by that as well... ) I'm confident they can improve the situation though. :) In a view years when I get that game on GOG it will run like a charm on my X6 tested rig anyways.

By then there will probably already be a DLC bundle on sale. Until then, you can also play the first part with the good (but sometimes quite difficult DLC), which I own both on PC (once purchased for ~ 4 euros) and on the PS3(for the Full Price if I remember correct) Until then, games may only be streamed anyway. Who knows... :D

Yeah, I loved the first part (also have it on GOG). Only the pawn system is a bit odd (prefer the whole party level with me, not being forced to throw away the extra pawns once in a while because they don't level with your character). The DLC is awfully difficult and a bit too grindy for my taste. I prefer roaming the "normal game" =)

I play the God of War Ragnarok. The game is good, but I started to get tired of the same combat all the time. I will still finish it because I want to know how it ends. I also started playing Satisfactory recently and I have a lot of fun with it. At first, I played on the official Satisfactory servers, but now I host my private server. I loaded a lot of mods, and the game is still stable with my hosting. I'm renting a server from supercraft.host. They're the best option I found, and the servers they have are cheap.

Got a few fair hours into Satisfactory, just under 600 according to steam, but now I'm just waiting for the 1.0 release along with a few other games.

Right now, I'm actually playing Stardew valley again, after another free update from ConcernedApe, that's another game I have around the 600-hour mark with. I play too many games for too long :), but in my defence, I don't have a television to watch, so I have to do something at night.

Same - the game is very chill and relaxing, but due to constant changes and updates in early access, I don't want to waste time constatly re-design my mega factories.
Looking forward to 1.0 where I can get back to it for good.

At the moment I'm trying to reduce my "pile of shame" a little. That's why I'm playing Medieval Dynasty quite intensively at the moment. It's a survival/city builder with quite a lot of micromanagement and nice grafics. Not the newest game, I know

It's fun and wolves are a real nuisance in this game (so far) :D In germany we would say "Problemwölfe" :D

Just you wait until you reach level 2 - the roar of the Problembär.

I *ehrm*.. also have that in the library since EA.. I swear to god I wanted to play it ...

After several years in Early Access, today Planet Crafter had its 1.0 release. It is an open world survival game where you are sent to an abandoned planet to terraform as the norm goes you start with limited items, and you work your way through the game crafting different items to terraform the planet like a heater to heat it up or drill to create pressure. You create everything from the rain, plants and creatures. I have been playing it for a while now, but I have only played up to a certain point about mid-game, so I'm not too sure on the end game content. The game itself is made by two French brothers, which is pretty impressive, so it's an Indy game with no big name behind it which is a good thing as there are no microtransactions or release day DLC you buy the game and get to play the game as you wish. You can play either solo or co-op I've never tried the co-op, I just play by my lonesome. I definitely recommend this game, and right now it's on sale for £13.99, so not overly priced. There is also a demo if you want to try it out first, though I don't know what the demo is like.

Sounds intersting though atm I'm very much into Empyrion, also a survival game but it includes building bases and ships.
