I am using Release version 'Crimson Relive 17.1.2' package dated 30 Jan 2017 ( Driver Packaging Version 16.50.2711-170125a-310791E ) with Win10 x64 and a Radeon RX480 card and all seems very stable so far. The filename for the download package includes 'non-WHQL' but the driver is reported as WHQL for Win10 x64 in the DxDiag after installation.

@ BBt: Did you do the 'clean' two-phase AMD driver uninstall/install or just run update?

I ended up doing both.

As it turned out my 290x died the other day and am now GPUless, it lasted me 3yrs and 3months. I had been playing Elite and DayZ at 4K quite a bit and I suspect that drove it very hard and shortened its life.

It's a bit of an awkward time to happen as Vega is still months away and the Nvidia 1080Ti is going to be silly money. In some ways I hope Vega doesn't compete with a 1080Ti as it will force my hand to get one but if it is looking strong I'll have to wait until Vega is released. I might have to give up gaming for a few months or consider a 2nd hand replacement to tide me over which only pushes the price up further to me.... Such is life I guess.

- I couldn't get 17.4.1 to work with DX12 games in Crossfire - via Win10..
- this one is intended to enable the Windows10 Creator's Update

- it still has some problems, ie. some older games are glitchy..
- for instance, my fave game of all time, Dungeon Siege and DSLoA..
- it complains of some missing component (- a DX3D dll, I believe..)

AMD have still got some work to do, no doubt closely associated with the evolving Windows10 program..

- I NEED my Dungeon Siege game..!!
:D

PS. other than that, it works OK..
- the whole universe is running in BETA mode - we're working on it.. beep..!! :D

Hell ... updated to the latest driver on my old system running with an AMD card, and omg ... that was a big mistake.

Hope it improves with the next one ... ôÔ

As soon as I start any DX11 application -> rightaway crash, first the driver, which gets reset, then the driver application which is gone afterwards ... not seen such behaviour for years!

Well, so far it's back to one of the 16.x.x version I got still lying around.
... what is a drop of rain, compared to the storm? ... what is a thought, compared to the mind? ... our unity is full of wonder which your tiny individualism cannot even conceive ... I've heard it all before ... you're saying nothing new ... I thought I saw a rainbow ... but I guess it wasn't true ... you cannot make me listen ... I cannot make you hear ... you find your way to heaven ... I'll meet you when you're there ...

Something I've tried with these new drivers is, resetting the card to factory defaults in the radeon settings.

I'm still getting texture errors in Fallout 4.

- many thanks, Terre.. :)

- seems to run OK with my set-up.. (2x480's in crossfire)

- that's via last night's Windows 10 Insider build 16215
- there are still a few older games that are causing hiccups,
- but this driver seems to improve on the previous version..

- oh, btw - on installing the new Win10 Insider build
- I had to enable all cores and maximise RAM usage on my PC, via msconfig
- also Trixx needed the ULPS option setting restored..
- the whole universe is running in BETA mode - we're working on it.. beep..!! :D

Just for info, I replaced 17.5.2 with 17.6.2 and few minor Steam games of mine that had been having starting issues (reported against ntdll.dll) all started behaving again. I am unsure whether there was an issue within 17.5.2 or just in my past installation of it.
