Thank you! I downloaded all of the scripts and SPK packages that you said would enhance the gameplay of this mod. Im gearing up to play now. :D

NH Mod v.2.0 Trailer

  • NH Mod Team is now developing an enhanced version of "New Horizons" Mod. This will be the 2.0 version to be released pretty soon.
Many new items are going to be added:

· New sectors and new trade lanes
· New ship classes and new ships
· Specific weaponry
· New race rebalanced in order to trade effectively with much more profitsss to make
· Two major scripts built by Azz and BenIsra will really put much more life in the Universe. They will enhance your gameplay, but will not unbalance the game
· Custom starts will be even more meaningful than before
· More BBS


I will not tell you more at this stage, but in the meantime, please have a look to this NH Mod Trailer made by exogenesis.


You will have a good flavor of what might happen soon. Fly towards New Horizons pilots! The story is just starting now!

There is a competition running atm regarding NH Mod.

Do you want to chose which Splash Screen and what Loading Pics will be used by NH Mod for future v.2.0?

hey just wonderin if the Apocolypse(new horizon mod) has any form of super weapon as it would be a shame if it doesnt?from appearences any ways??

The Apocalips is a ship that can destroy most stations or large ships with one or two shots. It will however need a large escort due to it's close to no defences, and because the weapon takes time to charge.

The Apocalypse is designed specifically to carry the Super Weapon. However, since some people have trouble figuring out how to operate this weapon, I'm in the process of writing operating instructions on its use. It's simple enough really, but because its a custom weapon, it doesn't work quite the same way vanilla weapons do. This is true for any custom weapon in X3 which doesn't use the standard existing weapons slots.

Guys I have a question. I started a new game with this mod, playing the trader start. However, I found a new ship that I fly myself, and I want to set my original ship as a UT. The option is greyed out...so I can't use it...and I am positive I have all of the required items to use UT. Any suggestions?


EDIT: The ship says it comes with Trade software mk1, and when I try to buy it it says it's already installed, but it doesn't show up on my software list.
EDIT2: My trader ship still says I'm the pilot, so I cannot see what level the real pilot is.

However, best would be in the meantime to buy another TS, and sell the current one, after having transferred all softwares and equipments. :wink:

Good guessing.

No large Mods who are changing/adding many sectors to the map and make changes in ships, factories and wares can be compatible to each others usually.

I have a problem that the new race's ships doesnt appear. Thats why I m waiting for the new version. I hope that will be solved there. 8)

That, the Spectre sectors are all empty. There are a few Spectre station, and some teladi ships (about 6). So, the spectre arent appearing in their own sectors.
Other problem I have, that I play the storyline, and when I want to enter Teladi Gain, to save Miria from the evil Pleasure complex, than I crash to windows. >.< And some bug I have, that there are 2 South gates to Senator's Badlands. (and of course, 2 North gates to Orcacoke's storm)

The poor trafic in Spectre's Sectors will be adjusted in the next release. :)

Regarding 2 gates, do you have more than one mod installed or something of that kind. Would you mind to have a check?

Uhm, ye, about mods, I use the Cockpit Callback.
About scripts, I use the Bonus Package,

And of course, its the X3 2.5 installed.

But the Spectre ships are acctually DOESNT seems to appear in the game, like a script is missing or something. The models are in the game (I tried them with LV's Cheat scripts), but even Spectre prime is empty. Only lonely stations inside. :S
Any suggestion?

  • "New Horizons" Mod, stable version 2.0 is now available for Download.
All details regarding the many new features included in this new version are available in OP, with all the detailed instructions you will need to install the Mod.

There are 6 custom starts available. These custom starts provide you with the opportunity to find and buy the HQ and Bala-Gi's ships, and offer many different and original contents from main map. This is the best way to fully enjoy the NH game, which contents its own plots.
Select one of the 6 and become a fine trader, a pirate or a mighty warrior!

Xenon and Yaki will do their best not to let you in peace!

New Horizons is also compatible with X3 vanilla "Bala Gi" plot, but not with the main vanilla plot. If you want to play the main plot, you need to avoid to fly in NH sectors prior having completed the main plot. It works fully fine afterwards. You will find a map in the DL area to identify which sectors you should not fly to at the beginning if you have chosen to play the regular game.
