yes they can. but the elite, blast claw, etc.. have a very small chance of bail. just keep trying, you will get one.
Please fix the AI Egosoft! I'm sick of losing ships(doesn't matter what class) when they fly into what they are attacking! This occurs even if the object is stationary and doesn't have any protrusions.(Like a pirate base) It's just sad, and it totally ruins the entire concept of the series!

I'm playing the normal plot for the third time, the first time, however, with XTM installed. When I'm finished, how do I start the new plot?

i finished the mission to protect the M0.
it said i could have a limited view of the specs (purchase 1 M0 from Argon prime shipyard)
? is if i get it and reverse engineer it can i make more than 1 of them.

thanks in advance, and XTM mod is great got me to playing X3 again.

mcsquared, just look for a BBS message about a Teladi who wants to sell information about a salvageable vessel. Note that the XTM plot isn't yet complete, AFAIK.

Apparently you won't be able to get the required build resources into the player HQ,
also many special features wouldn't work - it's got special scripts running.

But if you LV-cheat-cloned one (& possibly remove the cash value from your account = fair do's),
at least you'd have the basic hull.
I was considering doing this, until I realized that it's not the uber-ship
I was expecting - very strong but not uber.

remove/disable smoke effects

hi all,

I want to know if i can remove/disable all smoke effects from ships and weapons, this is very boring when we have to lot of ships in space.

and to my mind, the smoke haven't his place in X3

I can't find any possibility to do this in option game.

Or, perhaps, tel me how i can do this on file .dat and remove texture from bdd or disable effects in config file or something else.

It's an XTM ship. I think it's a TP.

It's a TP with speed 155m/s and 1600 XL cargobay. You have to complete the Boron Angel mission to be able to buy them.

unknown m6 in omicron lyrie

hi has anyone else seen this ship....i noticed a bbs message warning ships to avoid this sector cos of this ship...so naturally i decided to jump to omicron lyrie to check for it and sure enough it was there and it took out 3x m3 novas and a centaur mkIII in just seconds....it has some really powerful unknown laser weapons that took out my cerberus's 3 x 1gj shields in just 3 hits...i eventually managed to kill it but i sustained severe damage and had to limp back to the nearest shipyard for expensive repairs?

big nasty alien race....shalion or something like that. clone the ship for giggles one day and take it for a spin. Just be sure to have a 'clean' save somewhere because a ship as powerful as that is a game killer, it makes you all but unbeatable.
I say all but because large floating rocks in space and capital ships have no respect for your toys.

It's a Sohnen M6. Their M7 has around 60GJ of shielding, with the M2 and M0 having 100GJ and 200GJ respectively.

Not as far as I know, but you have to spend ungodly amounts of hours shooting it first, you'll probably die trying.

some XTM some comments and some questions

I just finished playing the normal storyline including Bala Gi. Everything worked perfectly. It was extremely difficult to tow the M7 out of the unknown sectors due to the many, many pirate and Sohenen attacks.

I downloaded the XTM manual but it does not cover how some of the additional commands work. Also, are their any weapons and missile specs as I have no idea what new missiles, for example, I should install. Overall, the XTM is a superb effort, the new graphics are excellent amd the promise of a continuing new plot a great idea. Thanks to all concerned.

I've yet to play XTM will so very soon.
But isn't that just a little bit Overkill?

I'll cheat 1 in once i get XTM and go Khaak secotr clearing :D
