Update: The Mobile Fortress is being resurected in a new improved version going into beta testing for the latest (Bali Gi compatible) release of the Xperiment Fusion Project (XFP). This new version includes a custom internal fighter docking port.

it will most likly be made available seperate once its finished being tested, like all the other ships in XFP ;)

Yes, this ship will be made available in Cycrow's XSP format for adding to your game regardless of which/any mod you may have once it is released in the Xperiment Fusion Project mod.

BTW if is not asking too much ;) any thoughts on releasing a customized (not vanilla X2 version) cockpit (and if possible turrets window) for the ship? :)

The next Fortress version is planned to include all of the above in addition to the new X3 2.0 animated advertising billboards on the side of the ship. However, I have no ETA for these further enhancements since I've recently reduced the intensity of my modeling activites in favor of a more "balanced" lifestyle. :wink:

I haven't looked into the billboard thing yet, so I'm not sure where they are. But would it seem even remotely possible to put your own items on the screens?

That in itself, would be a lot of fun. :)

The new billboards get their videos from the mov directory. For example, 00002.dat contains videos played on the billboards. You can view these files in Windows Media Player. I haven't looked into the details yet, but it seems quiet feasible to me that custom videos could be presented. This is something I'm now investigating.

ive put it in a few xenon sectors and its better than any destroyer because of its shield recharge rate and GPPCs. :twisted:
a problem with it saying ST containers but im not able to load stations on it.
Always one eye on the scanner and a missile ready for when its my turn to fight. khaak keep coming and i keep blasting. Thats how to survive.
