Yep sorry you will need to register to download it, once done you will be able to download any of the programs. The reason for this is because we want you to join in with the forums & rate the downloads etc.

I believe you can select a pirate base on the sector map and 'page down' to see it's settings ?

I understand your frustration but as we offer several features which other sites do not, including the ability to upload stuff, the registration is necessary. Don't worry, it doesn't hurt, it is not malicious & you can set a cookie (if you choose) so you won't need to keep logging in.

its not that it just drives me nuts when i keep forgetting all the logins and passwords since i try never to use the same one twice, not good with golfish like memory like mine.

could actually do with this, i am about to lose a UT when i start the game and there is nothing i can do to stop it barring going back to about 30 mins seta earlier or something..... Teladi space, dont you hate it

You may call me "Gravedigger" now :) But your script has recently been mentionned over in the xuniverse-forums in relation with some of the customs starts there. That's also my case playing as Pirate Profiteer.
I installed 4.01 through Cycrows Plug-In Installer 2.12 in my XTM-game, pirate notoriety was set back to blue so I think the scripts work fine and the installation is ok.

BUT:
I can't check my notoriety at Pirate stations. TycHouse mentionned we had to "page down" - there is no such information in my game, I can't "page down" Pirate stations because there are no 'hidden' options.

So how the heck can I check my pirate-reputation ?

Hi zazie,

You can when docked use the 'Universe Map' and browse to a sector that you know has a pirate station in it, i used Priests Pity to test but your game may be different.
Select the Pirate Base on the sector list of stations and press <enter>
Press <page-down> four times and in the top window you should see that this stations notoriety is set to 100000 0 to Julian (your figures may be different).

cheers

Sorry to be a pest but something does not work.
TycHouse wrote:You can when docked use the 'Universe Map' and browse to a sector that you know has a pirate station in it,
Done. I did it while being docked at a station OR in space with ',' and navigating to a sector with a pirate station OR pressing "r" and choosing a sector with pirate station.
TycHouse wrote:Select the Pirate Base on the sector list of stations and press <enter>
Done. I did it by choosing the pirate station on the list of the stations in a sector OR from the list of sectors you get when choosing the display-option "sectors" OR by activating the "send message when job done"-option on one of my ships and sending it to a pirate station and selecting the station after the "incoming message".
TycHouse wrote:Press <page-down> four times and in the top window you should see that this stations notoriety is set to 100000 0 to Julian (your figures may be different).
I never saw a value for my pirate-rep.
The stations have values for Shields, Hull etc. and nothing more (page down is simply not possible) or show the info for products, software and the like (same as pressing "u" - I can page-down but there is no reputation-info).

Something does not work in my configuration: installation, Script or compatibility.

Installation:
X3, 2.0.2, BP 3.1.6, Xtended 0.73, Economics-&Supply-Trader 3.2.04, Friendly Pirates.

What I have seen yesterday for the first time may help (or not): If I look at a sector with pirates, pirate stations and pirate installations (=lasertowers) as e.g. LoomanckStrats Legacy, the sector list is constantly changing: the colour of the Lasertowers changes from red to blue and back to red within seconds. That's why the list is permanently updated, the 'red' LTs are shown just ahead of the stations (foe), the 'blue' LTs are part of the ship's list. Kinda nervous list ;)

I have no idea if the two things are 'linked together' or not. I am a (rather experienced) X3-Vanilla-player but started XTM only a couples of week ago. So please be patient :D

Ok thanks for the info.
If the SE is enabled there should be no reason why you cannot get the info as per the <page-down> four times. Even without my script running that info should still be available.
I have to admit i tested yesterday using a vanilla v1.4 with only SE enabled and Friendly Pirates loaded. Can anyone else confirm any problems running this with XTM ?

cheers

Now we get closer to it :)
I have NOT enabled the SE ! As I have written in my first post I installed the 4.01 with Cycrow's Plugin Installer 2.12 therefore no need to activate the SE. As far as I know running the 4.01-EXE does also not activate the SE either.
The 4.01.-readme doesn't give the info you MUST activate the SE and how to check notoriety.

After re-reading the readme (sorry ) I must say that the fix for the enemy lasertowers does not work properly in my game.

back here with another question. Sorry to be an absolute noob on scripting issues.

I have restarted XTM a couple of weeks ago mainly because I wanted to activate the "Terran"-options only when my Argon-rank is high enough /that should boost the initial Terran-notoriety). In this game I installed "Friendly Pirates" too (see above).

In the mean time I am "Protector of the Federation" and I thought it's time to activate the Terran sectors.
But my Terran rep still shows the inital value of -3420 (or the like) even after flying around, exploring all Terran sectors, saving and reloading. It does not change at all (and I went back to my save before activation)

My question: Could it be that the "Friendly Pirates" script collides with XTM ? Using the same "slots" (or whatever) ?

No, Friendly Pirates does not use any resources so no danger of it conflicting with other scripts.
It does use the "get ship array for race pirates" command and therefore can only modify notoriety for those ships.
