EMP ware types library conflicts with xTended 0.7a. Values for prices and cargo bay of heavy missile gun and antimatter missile will be modified by usage of EMP. Any help or update?

i really dont c how in any way EMP will conflict with Xtended.

and if it does, it would be that it has used an EMP ware and changes its values in the mod, if thats the case, then its Xtended that need to fix that, not EMP

I agree with you! As a work around, I changed the order of my cat files and put the emp cat file before the xTended mod to use your salvage claim software.

Xtended should have it included in the mod, so you shoudln't even need it at all

Well I feel like an idiot... I installed the game from vanilla and downloaded the patch to get me up to current version... Then I downloaded Cycrow installer... then I downloaded the community mod pack and have issues with some of the wares showing up as "ReadText17-12803" or something like that with a question mark showing up on the sub screen.

If I knew how to post a copy of the pic to let you see it, then I would do it but I am not that computer savy.. :oops:

I uninstalled everything and still have the problem with some of the wares showing up with some kind of description line of that read text... help? :( [/spoiler][/code]

where are the wares showing up as readtext errors, is this in stations, or somewhere else ?

the readtext errors are not a problem with EMP itself

These are showing up in stations from what I have seen so far. I have just wiped out all my files for X3 and completely started from scratch... all looks good so far but I have not yet installed the community mod yet. :roll:

the mod only adds the wares to the game, it doesn't add these wares to stations.

its the scripts that do that, but if the scripts dont have the correct text files, or they have been removed then they will appear as ReadText.

but its not directly related to EMP. If they show as readtext, then EMP itself is working.

its only the scripts using EMP that actually gives them names

As mentioned on the previous page, the plug-in manager gives me an error on trying to install the spk file.

i've jsut updated it to the new version, using the new spk format.

u'll need thep lugin manager 2.00 to install it. Try it again and c if it works, ill be uploading another version to a mirror server soon as well

this is regarding the older spk version for emp 2.01.

Is it automatically compatible with other scripts previously compatible with emp 1.4??

I've tried installing stuff like Xai FSUP, ware do not appear. I've digged deeper and found that even the text is not appearing correctly. For lack of understanding of emp in depth, does it mean that either emp 2.01 has broken some parts of emp 1.4 or the Xai FSUP script may be employing some hardcoded values that makes it non-compatible?

the only difference between the 1.4 version and the 2.01 version, is the base ware file that was used.

1.4 added wares onto the ware fiel from the 1.4patch. and 2.01 added wares onto the file from BalaGi.

so the only differences is the few changes made to the standard wares in BalaGi

I think I finally found out what may be causing all the missing stuff. It seems that it may not be the new emp, but rather when scripts get moved into bonus back, the non-bonus pack version may be no longer maintained or updated to work with new emp? I for one actually prefer to use Cycrow's Installer due to the ease of isolating the scripts for enabling/disabling updating and removing. Bonus pack just seems too big a lump (we can't choose which parts we want, unless I misunderstood things). Maybe that's why the Stuff like Xai FSUP does not seem to work with the new emp.

My question is : will there be problem if i used the 1.4 emp instead? Or do I go bug the script maintainers to release a non-bonus pack version? lol..
