Heh just got back from work and immediately went to check if the Argon dock had the DBC and yes it did sell it at 9mil. I was about to post that when I saw your post Cisor. Thanks for debugging it! I'm just glad it wasn't my mods or something!

Downloading now! Good job! :)

arcana75:

Give us a post here to say whether it is working so others can see whether it fixed the problem.

I hope you have fun with it.

Cisor, looks like everything's a-ok!

Except...

I have a ReadText0-1 posted by Unknown. I have no idea where it came from... :(

arcana75:

AARGH! The 01 unknown is a DBC BBS error. In fixing the readtext problem this morning I deleted a line without noticing.

I fixed it, and it is in the download now, so please redownload.

What can I say... Sorry.

Erm, Cisor does the bug affect anything?

The BBS readtext bug just means you don't see the text. Since the BBS messages are just the story behind DBC, gameplay will not be affected. Anyhow, I fixed it. (I should know better than to edit a script in a busy sector - the keyboard lag makes it easy to bork something).

Cisor, the readtext error is still there.

Also, I recently checked my split TL, and saw 4 Bay Allocated objects in the hold even tho there aren't any ships docked. Maybe you might want to add a check to remove extra objects when ships dock/undock??

As it is I'm 4 bays short :(

Looking at ur scripts, I think the cleanest way to resolve any Bay Allocated bugs is to add an additional command, eg "Scrub Bays" to clear up leftovers.

Meanwhile I'll add my own temp fix for now.

Hmm. I've not had the Bay Allocated problem in a month of playing. What other scripts do you have running?

Anyhow, I'll check all the scripts to see if there is any way for a ship to undock without calling the delate bays script.

I'll let you know.

Could be the M6. I've only docked M3/4/5s, TSs and ONE M6 since installing the DBC. The M6 also adds 4 bays.

Oh, and I've the following installed.

Assassin Guild, BBS Extras, BBS Offers, Bounty Hunter Guild, Complex Manager, DBC, DTS, Escort, Jump 2 Me, Merc Guild, RTD, Remove Homebase, Station Mgr, TycPack.

OK, I spent all day using/checking the various undock routines for the M6 and couldn't replicate the problem.

I'd appreciate it if you keep an eye on the bays and post the command you used when/if it happens again.

Cisor, I think I know why they Bays get stuck.

M6 Patrol Single Sector and Patrol Multiple Sector commands!!

If ur scripts handle each command per script eg "plugin.cisor.dbc.COMMAND.xml", then u're missing these 2 for M6s.

:)

arcana75: Good catch!

Yup, I didn't think of those. I'll see what's involved in getting those in and let you know.

Two little requests for what appears to be an excellent script (I want to dock larger ships on my huge ships, but want them to take up more space). So, anyway, requests;
1) Make it cheaper, perhaps 1 mil. 9 mil is a bit steep if I only spent 18 mil on the ship in the first place (TLs). Perhaps have 2 downloads, one cheap, one expensive, so people can choose.
2) Make it available as a .spk aswell (Cycrow installer).

Thanks

U can get an spk from my signature.

As for cost I think 9mil is fine. But since it's not, since u're using SE anyway, fire it up, open I think plugin.cisor.dbc.setupware.xml and edit the price from 9mil to watever u want :)

U can make a save, run SE, edit, save script, then reload ur save.

If u wanted u could also check plugin.cisor.dbc.delbays.xml and fiddle with the bay values if u think the TS/TP/M6 sizes are too small/big.

Thanks, Arcana, I'll try that.

BTW, it was just the price that was bugging me, everthing else seemed good.

Skillers:

To change the number of allocated bays change the values in plugin.cisor.dbc.baysbyclass.xml.

Changing the price is a little more difficult. Prices are associated to ware numbers in the Twares file. To change the price one has to either select a different ware from this file (or the EMP version of it), or you must mod the Twares file so it has a lower price. Be sure to backup your files before you attempt either.

Personally, I am happy with the 9 mil tag. If you consider the convenience of DBC (lets you resupply TL/M1 from docked TS's), and the ability to dock M6's (which means the M1 can now carry 10 M6's - in other words - a sector clearing load of destruction), then 9 mil is about right.

Thanks, Cisor. How can I edit the TWares file? I have got the X3 Editor program (been fiddling with the ships) but don't know where to change the information.

I am aware that 9 mil is a reasonable price, but it's just a bit steep for me.

Thanks

Skillers:

All ways of changing a price and/or ware are quite complex and can lead to mod incompatibilities. The problem is simple - you don't have enough money. :)

So the simplest way by far is just to script yourself some more money. Then the 9 mil is no problem :) See the cheat sticky for details.

Or get more UT's. They really rake in the cash.
