Title: Xai Corp. Manual Trade Commands (MTC)
Version: 1.7
Download: www.xai-corp.net/project/XaiCorp-MTC
Description:
A set of commands to help when ordering remote transports to buy or sell a particular ware or at a particular station. (not factory supply)
----

3 commands are provided:
- Manual Trade Run
- XaiCorp. Best Buy
- XaiCorp. Best Sell

Manual Trade Run
Simply specify the product and station to buy at, and the destination station to sell at. No fancy calculations are done, the ship simply carries out the command. This is usefull when starting out as it reduces the number of commands given to a manual remote trader from 4 to 1.

XaiCorp. Best Buy / Sell
Select a ware and specify a range and the command will automatically select the best location in range.

----
Commands: Trade 16, 17, 18
TextFile: 7231
TextPage: 7231

Looking good.

I'll definitely be using them when I get running again.

Sounds great, but the link just opens outlook express?

EDIT: I just followed the link in your sig to get the file, instead.

Moggy2, I get an email popping up on your download link. Is this correct?

Uh....also: can I use an M6 for the trade runs?

Cheers Euclid

edit: yes, same here, the link in your sig worked. E.

You've used textpage 7231 in lib.Xai.Setup but the t file is 445031. Could this be the reason for me to get Readtext 2010-416 etc. in my trade command?

Cheers Euclid

edit: also in my message log I found 'Read Text 7231-99992' nothing more. Tried again with renamed 445031 -> 447231 but this doesn't help. E.

fixed. (I think)

I've got a bit rusty at this

Does a ship enter a sector with Khaak (when assigned one of your buy/sell commands)?
I lost a ship from my only fab to 2 clusters in Ore belt. Seems like they're trying to set up a base there now, after the 1.3 patch.
Well, there seems to be a loat Khaak activity there atleast.
Unfortunately I have only a few fighters (1 Nova & 3 Buster), so I can't leave OOS defence there.

no, I've not got any danger checking in any of my scripts at the moment

I am working on a general "panic" script so that your remote ships can at least be "aware" of the danger.

Where should the options appear? I don't see them in the "Trade" menu for freighters.

Or does it require trade command software mk3?

it requires the trading system extension be installed on your freighters (and bust buy/best selling price locators for some of the commands).

I just realised (after looking at "where do I buy YYY?" threads) that the MTC "Manual Best Buy" has become very powerful after 1.3. It is probably a chore to check manually every sector with 'satellite' to find those 'HEPT forges' that GOD module lets exist at any given time. The MTC will do that in no time.

BTW, is there a "Can I buy Y from race Z" check?

good question. I've not seen any specific scripting commands to do that sort of thing so I'm assuming the find station commands are actually taking this into acount already.

do you feel like doing some investigation into this?

Tempting. However, I seem to spend all my free time with a game called X2 ...

Besides, wasn't the X2 MTC description: "dumb" commands that only do what the player would do?

I would happily see remotely that station A sells B and has full stock. I would fly there. And find reputation lacking. Cannot ask for more from a script, can I?

Hi Moggy: To use the best buy/sell the wares that you want has to be in your ship or could be in other ships like my ts and make the query from my ship?

To use this script the Trading System Extension, Best selling Price locator, and Best Buys Locator need to be installed on the ship that you want to run the commands on.

This is the opposite to when you use the devices yourself, where they need to be on the ship you are currently in.

Ok, My ts had some ware to sell and the ship has the best buy/sell locator and th TSE but when I do the search from my ship the result are from the ware that I have on my ship, not the wares from the ts. My ship have the best buy/sell locator and the TSE too. In oder words do I have to change to the ts to make the search? My english is not good, hope you understand what I mean. :(

I've been giving the signing candiates a try out. All seem to work as advertised but I have a couple of observations:

The Sell at Best when fired somewhere like Argon Prime decided to head to Trinity Sanctum! How do I limit the range?

Second when if asks for an amount , I'm always typing in '9999' to fill or empty the hold. Does leaving this bank have the same effect and if not could it in a future release?

Finally I'm actually finding the commands more advance than I need. What I'm really after are:

1. Buy max available of Ware X and Station Y
2. Sell all ware x from cargo at station Y
3. Buy ware X at Best price in Sector Y (or Buy ware X at Best Price with N sectors)
4. Sell ware X at Best Price (as above)

I will have a look at the scripts to see how well I can read them. (I'm a coder but XB/SQL not scripts and C++ so it's not exactly native tounge.

Anyway good work and I'll report in the Testing forum when I've given them enough use to be sure I know what's happening.

Cheers, Risky.

Consider me to be a simpleton I guess.

I have 1 ship which, is a Mercury and I have best buy/sell on it as well as trade extension and Trade MK1 and 2. But I still can't get the best buy/sell to work for me, and I also can't get this to work for me either.

The script editor is active and I used the program to install the spk file. So, it should work right?

Do I need a Home Base?
