I have X3R patched to 2.5 + Xtended Mod. Have installed the Cycrow's Salvage Claim Software from the SPK + the Bail Signal Extension SPK. Trouble is - I have been to two pirate bases now and there is no SOS Mk II for 6 million. Just a normal SOS for 600K..

Any ideas please? The sectors I tried were Ore Belt and Brennans Triumph and the start I used was XTM's Pirate Privateer

I don't think the Mk II software is available in pirate bases. I think its in race Equipmnent Docks IIRC

You can find the Salvage Claim Software in Teladi Equipment Docks.

theres actually 2 versions of the script, the old SOS MK2 and the new Salvage Claim Software

they do the same thing, however the old one is called SOS MK2 and is found in pirate bases and the new one is found in teladi docks, and is called Salvage Claim Software.

so it depends which version u actually have

A big thank to Cycrow for a very cool script.

After reading through this thread I found one problem:

I'm having a problem with this. I'm running X3R 2.5 with XTM 7.4. I cheated to give myself the Salvage claim software 1.05, but the piracy menu only has collect astronaughts. I haven't seen anywhere to select a hotkey for it either. Any suggestions?

I downloaded the 2.01 EMP and i noticed that the price on rock beetle shell has sky rocketed to 9mil from 1k. Also the shivan dragon scales cost 48mil or so, from 10k normally.

Any tips?

Trying to get the script editor, but i can't even find the damn change pilot name feature.

don't know if this was already answered but i'm running low on battery to read all the posts and i am sorry for that, but i have downloaded everything, installed aparently correctly and it was supposed to work on Terran Conflict as well (i have 2.5). instead, my saves got corrupted... =o

Wrong forum. The Terran Conflict version of this script can be found here in the Terran Conflict Scripts and Modding Forum. So make, sure you downloaded and installed the correct version and ask if necessary in the linked thread.

Can't get scripts to install. I have downloaded Cycrows plugin manager lite v1.3. the salvage claim software script is listed as installed and enabled but only shows up in Teladi EQs as text and only when I'm not docked. the only script i've been able to install is the military HUD MK II by ulfius. nothing else i've tried shows up in the game. I'm pretty much a noob at all this stuff and not very computer literate but love the game after finding x2 and x3 a few months ago. My computer is a HP w/ AMD Athlon II x4 640 processor 64bit w/4gigs RAM. I've read through alot of posts but can't solve this. Was only able to get the scripts in the installer after reading to run it as admin. Any help is much appreciated.

Have you activated the script editor?

I.E Whilst flying through space, navigate to the 'change pilot name' option and change it to:

Thereshallbewings

EXACTLY as you see it above. Note the capital T!

Yes I had already done that and if I try to install anything I get a window saying Invalid Package file or just failed to download.

I actually am getting this script showing up in the teladi stations now as readtext - I guess thats what its called- and can buy and use it. But still can't get other scripts to load with the plugin manager.
