help! my monitor keeps turning everything on screen transparent blue for some reason, the only way to fix it is to hit it on the top of the case....
any idea why this might be happening????

This happened with my old monitor (after 7 years of use, I should add). It's the electron gun getting slightly misaligned, so the blue phospher is getting activated by both the blue and the green firings. If your monitor is still in warranty, get it replaced. If not, you could try going to a reputable computer hardware repair shop and have them look at it.
Personally I just gave it to my dad, as even with having to slap it every so often it was a good upgrade from his 14" monitor (my old one was a 17" Iiyama).
