Prologue: Part 3
----------
"So where is the bridge?" Krystal got an amused look on her face as walking down one of the countless passages though the massive Mothership. She was tring to familarize me with the ship; however I still felt lost.
"What bridge?" She asked smirking.
"You know, the command room, the CnC, the place where you control the ship. The bridge."
"You missunderstand. There is no bridge. There is no need for a bridge. When the queen became the queen she became the Mothership. They are one and the same. She sees though it's eyes, and feels through it's skin. When she want the ship to move it does, when she wants a cannon to fire it does."
"Then how do I tell her what I need her to do?"
"For now you can go through me. However we believe that in time your Kha'ak blood will allow you to communicate directly with her. But we are unsure, this has never happened before." Her statement sent chills down my spine, I still had not accepted the I now had Kha'ak blood in me. I did feel diffrent, though I was having a hard time putting my finger down on exactly how I felt diffrent. Yestorday I was just trying to survive one day at a time and maybe make some money in the process, today.... Logically I knew that I shouldn't feel anything towards the bugs or against their attackers, but I did. I felt somehow attached to the mothership, and the very thought of these attackers seemed to stir a great anger inside of me. It was almost as if it had been MY friends and family that had been slaughtered not some alien bugs.
"So what do we do now?"
"That is for you to decide. The queen is not a leader of war, that is your place, Prince." The title felt akward to my ears, and it wasn't the first time. I was just a Joe nobody, then I became the Hero of the Federation, and now I was the Prince of the Kha'ak? The universe definatley had a since of humor. But it didn't matter how many titles were dropped on my shoulders I still didn't feel like I deserved them. I save my own ass and wind up the Hero of the Federation, I accidentally touch an alien and now I am a prince? They were both fancy titles but they both meant nothing.
I tried to think about what I should do. What they wanted from me sounded simple enough, destroy their enemies. But how? I didn't even know who the enemy was or where they were at. I didn't even know the first thing about warfare, or how to build an army. I needed information but Where was I to get it? I needed to think smaller.
"You said that we need Nividium, right? How much?"
"We need lots of it. The Mothership is equiped to be able to quickly process entire astroids. When we are close to one she will it's essence and extract the pure Nividium from the rest of the astriod. Normally we would keep a stock pile of it, however our supplies are depleted. We have enough to create a couple of small ships but we will need to find more soon." As we continued to walk I started to feel more familiar with the area we were in, as if I had been here before.
"Krystal, have we been to this part of the ship before? I feel like I know where we are."
"No my Prince, this is a new area of the ship." It was odd I could have sworn that I had been through this part of the ship before. As we kept walking the feeling kept getting stronger and strong until I was convinced that I knew where I was. I started to lead the way while Krystal feel back with a sly smile. I turned left and then right and then...
I rounded another corner to find myself starting out a massive window facing forward from the ship. Through it I saw the debris and the wormhole.
"How did I know this was here?" I asked walking over to the window and placing my hand on the cold glass.
"You are becoming more in-tune with the ship. In time you will not need me to guide you even through areas where you have never been before. You will just know." As I watched the wormhole shutter slightly, signalling that it would only be open for a little while longer.
"We have to leave, if we stay here any longer we will be stranded here."
"As you command my Prince." She said and then the ship began to move forward towards the wormhole, lasers firing from it's cannons to clear a path.
Moments later we emerged from the other side of the wormhole to find ourselves surrounded by an Argon Military task force.
"They are charging their weapons!" Krystal said looking to me. I felt anxiety flood into me though I knew it wasn't my own.
"Get me a communication link, I need to talk to them!" A screen flashed to existence in front of me displaying a middle-aged argon sitting in the command chair. Shock flashed briefly across his face though he quickly regained his composure .
"This is unexpected, has the hero of the federation turn traitor?"
"No sir, I am now in command of this ship, and under commonwealth laws it is now mine. Stand down and I can explain everything."
"That's a negative you trade ship came and got us when a piece of debris floated through the wormhole bearing marking of the AFS Allson unless you have a damn good excuse why it was destroyed then I think it best if we play it safe and scuttle your ship."
"The Allson was destroyed fighting an unknown vessel that was chasing this one. They gave their lives to save this ship." I glanced over to Krystal "Can you show them the ships that attacked?" She nodded her head and I turned back to the screen a the information was displayed. Shocked and then recodnishing flashed across the Captain's face. When it was over he shook his head.
"Alright you have bought yourself some time. The brass is going to want to talk to you."
----------
"Isaac it is good to see you." The Prime Minister said a he shook my hand "I am sure you remember Admiral Bane." He said indication the man standing at his side.
The Prime Minister had asked me aboard Argon One to discuss "matters of utmost importance" which I suppose sounded a whole lot more diplomatic the "why the hell are you flying an enemy ship?" I shook the Admiral's hand and then we took seats around the conference table. After we were all seated the prime minister turned on a holoprojector and brought up images similar to the ones I had given to the captain who had err.... welcomed... me back to argon space.
"What I am about to tell you is classified top secret," The admiral began, "We call them the Omincron Channel Virus or OCV for short. Currently unknown to most of the citizens of the common wealth, the Omnicron Channel that was recently discovered and settled came under attack from these ships. They seem to be fully robotic and refuse all attempts to comunicate with them, instead they persist in attacking at every oppertunity, at every weakness. At this point they have completely overran all of the Omnicron Channel and are believed to be about to attack our defences at Blueish Snout. It is my belief that if they do so then they will overwhelm our defenses there within fourty-eight hours." The admiral paused for a second to let me absorb the information. "Their shilps are vastly superior to even our best. We are trying to hold the line while we search for a weakness but at the moment the future looks bleak."
"Wait you mean this isn't about you wanting to blow up my new ship?" I was suprised by the way the conversation was going. I had expected them to demand that I turn over control of the mothership to them, not start telling me state secrets about some new enemy.
The admiral switched the holoprojector to an image of the mothership. "First off I want to apologise for the actions of Commedore Brent, he lost a lot of friends and family in the Kha'ak war. You were correct that by commonwealth law you are now the owner of that ship and we will honnor that law. That being said I know more about that ship then you might think. We scanned your ship. We know that you are not the only one on board. We know that it is not mearly a carrier but a mothership with the ability to create ships from Nividium. However you seem to be able to control it, and that is a first." I started to respond but the admiral held his hand up stopping me as he continued, "I don't care how you do it. All I know is that we need all the allies we can get and your looking promising with the ability to instantly create ships. As things go right now we will lose this war, but with your help maybe we can change that."
I had not expected this, I felt blindsided. I had walked in here expecting to defend my right to a ship but instead I was being asked to you the ship to save the commonwealth?
"I don't know what to say Admiral, this is all very unexpected I am I mere captain not a general waging wars. I'll need time. The ship isn't ready, it was very heavily damaged durring the fight and is still in the process of repairing it's self, and I will need Nividium, lots of it."
"We can't help you with that. All of our assets and resources are tied up. All we can offer are the standard mercenery commission for any help you can offer us. You will effectively be a mercenery required to bring your own gear but paid well for it."
"I don't know what to say Admiral other then I'll do my best. It is going to take time to locate as much Nividium as I will need, and more time to make and arm the ships."
"Don't take to long the fate of the commonwealth hangs in the balance."

What do ya'll think so far? I'll start the DiD either today or tomorrow, I had a lot done already but then XM-O 1.00 was released and it was not compatible with the beta so I have to start from the beginning.... which is where we are now at.
Here's to hoping the story will be longer then the prologue
