Rogue chapter 19 completed 22.10.03

Post by SteveMill » Wed, 22. Oct 03, 17:46

Chapter 19 completed, follow the sig link for the rest.

Steve

“Jackson?”

Jack said nothing for a moment, just looked the big, shaven-headed man up and down. Like the goons that preceded him, all bulging muscles and beady-eyed suspicion, Hagman looked typical Stoertebeker, brawn and bad attitude, not a single subtle bone in his body. Appearances, Jack thought, can be deceptive, but not this much. He knew Hagman by reputation and sight – an enforcer and a blackjack crack to the skull of Law’s enemies, which made the hinted possibility of an alliance all the more plausible. The offer was too ridiculous to be true, therefore it must be.

Great end to the chapter. Certainly sets the scene for some interesting developments :)

Now Jack certainly is in a bit of a misery. Though, I think he may go for the option of faking it and perhaps stab Max in the back IF the chance arises. If not they still got rid of Law

Still not totally sure about Hagman. He hinted a plan to Law and now I wonder if Law is in the game as a player or being played. It could all just be a trap to get Jackson and Max in one big sweep.

Hmmm, lotsa possibilities! Looking forward to seeing how that develops.

Thanks, :), nice to hear, particularly as I'm waiting to have my first (boring, personal life) short story torn to pieces on the creative writing course.

Constructive criticism I think they call it  . Still feels like somebody trying to flay the skin from your body.

You'll always have the following from the X-fans though

I've had to endure some constructive criticism, and I have to say, there are people who are much better at it than others. But one thing is certain, I LOVE having people give me feedback, regardless of their tact. Even when I disagree, it gets me thinking about my story, characters, and general writing in ways I never used to.

Keep up the good work.

Well, they never got to my piece so I still have that to come. i don't like it much so I doubt anyone else will. Constructive criticism is good, no matter how painful. From now on I'm going to stick to writing stuff I enjoy, like Sci-fi and fantasy. My next piece is a Vietnam War story about a Marine sargeant who is constantly visited by a devil. It gave me an excuse to play 'Vietcong' for 'research' purposes. Sadly it doesn't allow me to play both sides but it's a pretty good game, plays a lot different to the usual FPS games.
