Al: I think this will probably *bump* itself for a day or so, by which time, I am hoping DevNet will be back and I can get this onto the webby properly (some very kind German members are translating my *not quite Queens English* text ).
What I then think is that we have a single sticky at the top (i'll probably put Scarecrows post back as a sticky) and everyone can just add links to that for pics, interviews, etc as we go along. Sound like a plan?

p88 - whilst that would be a nice feature if it is in the game, would it really make any significant difference? As long as they're behind you and relatively close enough to render aid in your defence or attack your enemies without having to wait a half-hour for them to arrive, I don't mind what formation they fly in

Formations for wingmen are a great idea imho. the different formations in Homeworld were cool and with the thrusters/tails trails the flying was amazing - just like watching the red arrows do sky tricks. i think it would be greate to see some groups of pirate come flying towards you in formation then you will know they mean business.

I was wondering that myself, and i was thinking that either they are locked to whichever sector you buy them in(which would be a shame) or they have some sort of jump drive. But there again maybe they just made the jump gates biggerSmile :) wrote:will the 2 klm ships even fit through the gates...

They do fit, I've flown them through to test (horrible visions of testing XT V2 when the TL's didn't fit very well haunts me )
Someone also asked about turning circle? You can turn on the spot, like a TL, if you have no forward momentum.
Anyway, who cares when you have a ship that's a mile long with multiple turrets......

Freelance Pilots
Two questions about the freelance pilots mentioned in the FAQ. Will they have their own 'hate' lists seperate from the race 'hate' lists? Will they have their own factories that they build and defend over time?

this game sounds awesome
This game sounds like the hardcore sim a lot of us have been hoping for. Don't know if you are allowed to answer this, but how big of a ship can you land in a station?

Just had a quick look at an Xt map (on CJs site) and there are 91 sectors in Xt (if my counting is correct!) so its not as many more than Xt had. Unless of course its well over a hundred!

There may well be a number over 120 or so, but we have to remember that this game is being reported in interviews, etc. as the sequel to XBTF and not XT. hi all, advansed pilots pls take some time to unser those questions.
1 can i fix damaged equipment, guns, etc in x2 like i could in x-tention? if yes then pls explain how to do it.
2 can i hire pilots to fly my ships like in x-tention?
3 is there anything possible to do with slaves exept selling and killing?
4 is it possible to move or sell ur factory?
5 if ur fighters that protect ur transports acsidently hit another transport will it effect ur notority with this government? same question for ur battleships that guard ur sectors
6 what r the rules for lottery tickets? i bought a lot of them but resived no msg about loosing or winning...
