Split from 'X3 AP Best M2 for the player'
hey if this is still active can anyone give me advice whether i get a split Pteranodon or a boron Ray cuz i might have a hard time getting PALC

I'm disappointed that the old thread* did not contain the stock answer:
Get both, try both.
If you cannot afford all at once, the buy one, test, reload, buy another, test, ...

I have a feeling that this may turn into a 'How to get PALC' thread as the Pteranodon really *needs* those to shine (pun intended).
(BTW: That old thread died about a year before the Pteranodon was even introduced in its plot update to X3AP!)

well i might get the ray first as the PPC is easier to get than PALC but i can manage farming PALC in xenon sector 347
also is it really true that 2 of the turrets on ray can actually support PPC and fire whats in front of the ship?

Unfocused sectors have no authorities to challenge your claim to "abandoned" containers and Xenon Q there (which are plenty) seem like a nice kind of lorry to target.

Hey thanks and good idea about the unfocused jumpdrive i actually did encounter a xenon infested sector once(no Q's just N and a station)
and also, does megalodon utilize it's right and left turrets to attack what is in front of it like the ray can with it's 24 PPC because i can't try it as i am not in a high recognition with the boron yet.

I have found that they can be obtained if you tail gate a PALC equipped race ship when emerging from a gate. I now have a small fleet of Tigers carrying these weapons and protecting my stations.
