X2 Battle with Khaak in Nyanas Hideout - resolved

In the battle against the Khaak to protect the TL as it tries to collect the AP Gunner, is it possible to win and let the TL get away or is it a no win situation and you always get the message from Elena Koh that you have let them down?

Just answered my own question by winning the battle and getting an 'outstanding' instead of a ' you let us down', that feels better.
