How do I sell once I have opened the trading menu?

You originally posted in the Scripts and Modding forum for X2: The Threat. However, as your question is about general gameplay, it doesn't belong there, but was moved by Alan to the correct forum (X Trilogy Universe).

As for your question in particular: Once you docked to a station and connected to the Local Trading Network, click on the "Trade with Station" menu entry (d key). At a factory here you see a list of products and resources. You can only sell resources and buy products. Using the up/down arrow keys, highlight the resource you want to sell, then determine the amount you want to sell by using the left/right arrow keys. The tradebar at the bottom of the screen will show the current amount. By default the stepsize of the tradebar is one. You can increase it by using the numeric buttons of your keyboard. Press enter, when the correct amount you want to sell has been selected, to confirm the sale.

Please note that tutorials for the basic gameplay actions are available from the Simulator menu in the X2: The Threat main menu.
