XTREME Fighter: Final Kill Tally

Just got XTREME Fighter in X3AP today, so I thought I'd tally up my kills by ship class, just to give an idea of how much stuff you need to destroy to get the achievement. Here's what it added up to:

M5: 1753
M4/M4+: 2448
M3/M3+: 2907
M8: 160
M6/M6+: 645
M7/M7C: 701
M7M: 45
M1: 457
M2/M2+: 351

The vast majority of these kills were obtained using an overtuned Cobra, supported by a massive missile-complex in Savage Spur. I fought Terrans in the war sectors until I was around Conqueror or so and missions started spawning M1's and M2's, then I used mostly combat missions to get the rest of the way.

I got X Treme fighter on modified game very quickly since i like assassination missions, it was my main source of credits, i had simmilar Objects destroyed count as you do :), so yes i agree with this.

Nice one, I've never had the patience to reach extreme in combat ranks. Nice work getting there Tohron! 8)

No stations? Rank point reward for a kill does depend on the class of the target, but has random variation in it too. Stations do score quite much, IIRC.

Much older tally. Different game and style, similar total.

Think I killed about 2 Xenon stations, 2-3 Pirate bases, and 2-3 Terran stations, so station kills weren't really a big contribution. Wasn't counting freighter kills either.

I'd be really impressed if you did it without exploiting the power of massive missile barrages. :P

I'm pretty sure jlehtone did it the 'hard way', considering the date of his linked thread.

I'd be really impressed if someone can do it solely in an M3. But only crazy people would do it.

I did it mostly in a TL. :D

(This was back in X-Tension, where you could tilt the collision mechanics in your favour and happily ram Xenon cap-ships as fast as the Xenon shipyard could produce them.)
