Does this mean the problem of ships forgetting what they're doing when under attack has been fixed? I'm one of those who has experienced the annoying (and deadly) bug where ships stop what they're doing when being attacked.CBJ wrote:- Fixed RRF stopping ship commands when it shouldn't
Autopilot epically failed.
The only gripe I have about the 2.0 patch fix list, is that there is no news on the DiD save game loss problem.Ripskar wrote:AAAARRRGGGHHH!!!CBJ wrote:No. They are both linked to the main plot, so you cannot play them if you start as Terran Commander.ConCorDian wrote:will the new mini plots be available to both sides of the war?
No, you need the code:palm911 wrote:i wonder if they will add some new sectors (unknown sectors works)
looks to me it wont
as for terrans. can you just work your standing with the argons and do the plot? to get the missing goodies?
(just an idea)
<set_value name="Albion Prelude Plot Start" exact="1"/>
Which is missing on the Terran start.

A German box for the AP Addon is no problem for me, but what I'm confused about is what is actually on the DVD. Is it the full game or is it just the Steam installer that triggers an English AP Addon download from Stream when I select English? That's correct. The X3AP-only add-on pack is only available in German-speaking countries. However the only difference between language versions is the packaging; all in-game languages are on the DVD itself, so there's nothing stopping you from buying the German add-on pack, either from the Egosoft shop or, say, amazon.de, and then simply choosing English in the installer.

from what ive read before i always took it as the full game files would be included on both AP and X:Rebirth disc copies, and you would only require STEAM to activate.... weither or not that is still the case i dont knowbit.hauler wrote: A German box for the AP Addon is no problem for me, but what I'm confused about is what is actually on the DVD. The HUB, the UFJD and PHQ? FINALLY!!! Now, there is a reason to play AP over TC.
One more thing though: Is there a chance "A New Home" plot will be included at some point?
I kinda liked having my very own sector in the game, it gave me a place come home to I know that sector is more semantics than real gameplay value, but I'm kind of sentimental like that

Catching up with some answers:
2. You can uninstall it if you want to. There is no practical reason to do so as you won't need to run the Steam client, but if it makes you feel better then go right ahead. Remember, though, that it's unsupported so you may end up reinstalling it if you have any technical problems you need help with, and that we make no guarantees regarding updating that executable should there be any further patch releases for the game.
1. If you've bought and registered the game then you will be able to download the NoSteam executable. There won't be a questionnaire.henkbein wrote:(1) If i have principal (but not technical) issues, how do i obtain this NoSteam executable (without lying) ?
(2) Can i uninstall Steam client after NoSteam executable has been activated ?

Never say never, but there are no plans to do so right now.ConCorDian wrote:will there ever be an update bringing some "mini-plots" to the Terran Side in order to obtain the PHQ, HUB and UFJD?
We've not made any changes to notoriety.ConCorDian wrote:also i havnt seen anything that would suggest the ATF rep issue people had has been rectofied, the fact that many people seem to be able to fix there Terran Rep given time but not the ATF.
I don't know, sorry.Sinxar wrote:About the soundtrack. Will there be a download offered for users who purchased the Terran War Pack through Steam, or is it included with the hardcopy only?
I believe so.|-|Mohawk|-| wrote:Does this mean the problem of ships forgetting what they're doing when under attack has been fixed?
I still don't think that's something the game has much control over I'm afraid, which means it's not something we could fix in a patch.VincentTH wrote:The only gripe I have about the 2.0 patch fix list, is that there is no news on the DiD save game loss problem.
The game is installed from the DVD. If you're buying the X3AP-only add-on then you'll need to have X3TC installed on Steam first, but if you have the DVD version of that too then you can avoid most of that download as well (see the Steam FAQ linked in the first post). If you're buying the Terran War Pack on DVD then both games are installed from DVD.bit.hauler wrote:A German box for the AP Addon is no problem for me, but what I'm confused about is what is actually on the DVD. I doubt it. Major plot storylines are not normally "recycled" in this way.Playbahnosh wrote:I kinda liked having my very own sector in the game, it gave me a place come home to I know that sector is more semantics than real gameplay value, but I'm kind of sentimental like that

One key point which might be worth sticking in the FAQ: uninstalling steam will remove all program data steam is responsible for. This means uninstalling steam will delete the game files - copy them somewhere else first if you plan on doing things this way.CBJ wrote:2. You can uninstall it if you want to. Ouch Looks like creating my Xenon plot will have to wait. As soon as I have access to 2.0, I will rectify this oversight.CBJ wrote:No. They are both linked to the main plot, so you cannot play them if you start as Terran Commander.ConCorDian wrote:will the new mini plots be available to both sides of the war?
Perhaps there are some undocumented fixes, and this one is getting stealth fixed. It's a really annoying bugReliku wrote:I didn't see any fixes for the uncontrolled spawning of escort ships being left behind at stations, thus causing lag(the one where the trader despawns but the escort stays), would that come out as a hot fix seperately?
Also, it would be nice if NPC pilots would use some of the AP introduced new TS and TP class ships--and not only having these available exclusively to the player.
Looking forward to the patch
