Maverick: Requesting permission for flyby.
Air Boss Johnson: That's a negative ghostrider, the pattern is full.
Goose: No. No, Mav, this is not a good idea.
Maverick: Sorry Goose, but it's time to buzz a Split.
Split: Split now give you .... Aaaarrriiiigh.

Wow. This must have taken some time to put together. Great work!
You should submit this for the Resources and Guides sticky.

Great Work!!!
I have been searching too for rare ships and found these two related topics, but don't have any personal experience to share.

I copied the ship listing from ianrobo75's spreadsheet, there are 2 versions of Advanced Eclipse listed (argon and pirate), however I checked game files and argon one doesn't exist so I'm deleting it.Deadbeat_Spinn wrote:The Advanced Eclipse is one of the derelict ships that can be found in the universe.
Added, thanks.Allan F wrote:Pirate Centaur - blueprints at Anarchy Port.

Great thread, great list !! Thanks.
An addition: The Eurus is NOT cappable, does not bail. Have a look at this post . Well, it is written in German but if you read the code-snips, the explanation is in english: "capturable="0" " *sigh*
I took this post from this thread in the German forums. The list has some additional info about how and when you can get 'rare' ships.

Check out the video I did about boarding it (full HD available)- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XArjtH5MsNM
I started the game in 2.7.1 and successfully captured it. Refer to the original #deca capturing post for further details.
Good Luck.

Just curious, what about those little ufo ships that have a wacky ship id tag? I tried once a long time ago with a lighting armed m6 and never got anywhere.
and any other odd ball thing never ask yet either?

There definity ISN'T ALWAYS one in the universe. I've been using Scorp's find ships script extensively for a couple of days and one notus appeared on the 3rd day of data gathering for this topic. After I capped it (like 3 days ago) there is still no replacement spawned in the universe.palm911 wrote:i am having a lot of trouble trying to find the notus hauler, saw one in FF, but never seen one again,

There is also a trick which allows you to use find ships script in your game without getting modified tag but I'm not sure whether it's good idea to share the details.

Well, you need to have around 10GB of free HDD space.
Remember to back up your saved games before doing this kind of stuff, and check for modified status prior to saving game (just in case you could mess something up)
- Back up your saved games
- Make a copy of your game installation folder, name it X3 terran conflict ORIGINAL or whatever you like
- Install find ships script
- Load your latest game, you should get the modified tag in your game, don't panic
- load the script and write down the location of the ship you want to cap
- exit game WITHOUT saving
- rename x3 terran conflict folder to something like X3 terran conflict MODIFIED
- rename x3 terran conflict ORIGINAL folder to just x3 terran conflict or whatever it was called prior to all this operation
- load your game, if everything was done properly it will not have modified tag
- go to location you've written down before and board the ship
