Is there an update for my version?

The updater indicates the 2.0(a) update is incompatible.
Yes there is an update, it's called 2.1. The 2.0a update was to fix an minor issue for people who had the game prior to the 2.0 box version, IIRC.

BTW, there is no need to have your font size that big for an entire post.

Evrything I have found so far indicates it is only for version 2.0(a).

When you bought the game was 1.0 or 2.0? Regardless, on what version you have, if you're trying to get 2.1, just download the 1.0.1 ->2.1 update (it works with any version).

Just get the update from the egosoft website if you need it.
Lead me not into temptation,
For I can find the way myself!

OKAY. THANKS!
I was afraid it might crash my install and I'd loose my progress. I believe I'll back-up my saved game folder for safety.

Currently downloading this patch via Torrent. With a lot of people seeding, this download will over in no time. :D

Yeah. The check for download button seems to be having a bit of trouble lately. Downloading manually is fine.
Come watch me on Twitch where I occasionally play several of the X games

Thanks you :)
This is my fist post, and I love the game. I am still learning. It remind me of Freelance.

In the 2.1 revision, was a change made the the amount to payments on construction missions?
I use to see some mission payments for construction projects as high as over 200M and now the highest I have seen is 10M after installing 2.1

Also, I had just finished the Crystal phase of the Hub Mission at the exorbitant number before installing 2.1, unfortunately. However, why didn't you do something to reduce the impossible amount (450K) of silicon wafers to the Hub? One Superfreighter with 60,000 cargo capacity can only carry 780 Silicon Wafers and the Hub wants 450,000. How rediculous is that?

I am running the Steam version, it is updated to 2.1 and I'd like to know if there is a way to activate that functionality? (text in bold)
Right now if I run the game in a window and switch to some other application I can see that the game freezes and waits for me to click on its window again before continuing. Is there a way to make it so that the game will continue to run while it's not in focus?

From Xenon_Slayer's second post on the first page:
- New functionality to run the game in the background, located in the gameplay options menu
Have a great idea for the current or a future game? You can post it in the [L3+] Ideas forum.

X4 is a journey, not a destination. Have fun on your travels.

Ah. Sorry for that. I searched the forum for "window" and "continue" based on that statement but completely missed the second post with the detailed changelog.

I should have checked the in-game options first, my bad.
Thank you and I apologize for my "ask first, check later" approach.
