That is superb. I couldn't have imagined what you would do with this back when it was still in the early stages of development. Incredible man. :o

edit: Also, thanks to your model viewer, I was happy to see that all the Terran ATF ships had been fixed. Too bad you can't buy them, but still nice to see them fixed.

Is there a version of this that works for AP?

AFAIK, there isn't a version modified to work with AP, however, if you copy the .dats & .cats from the "Addons" Folder to the "Mods" folder for TC, the ship models & data (but mostly not the names) are available on the Mod1/Mod2/Mod3 tabs (AFAICT #1 contains the new ships & drones, #2 contains fixed complex hub models, & #3 contains the Terran HQ).

To see the ships installed throught Cycrow's Plugin Manager in X3TC:

1. Install your ships, make sure to close the plugin manager normally
2. Make a new mod in 'X3 Editor 2' by clicking Plugins->Cat Manager
3. File->New catalog, pick any name
4. Drag and drop the objects, dds and types folders from your X3TC installation folder into the window of your new catalog in 'x3 editor 2'. Make sure the folders were added by browsing throught the folders (sometime the display doesn't refresh).
5. Exit 'X3 Editor 2'
6. Copy your .cat / .dat file to your X3TC installation mods subfolder, create it if necessary.
7. Launch the model viewer, it should see the 'mod' you created and it will allow you to see the ships and their stats.

The data of Phoenix is wrong.

I'm playing reunion. The maximum shield of Pheonix is 1*10G and my game indeed shows the value. However, your 3D Models and Stats Viewer shows it can only mount 1*2G.

Please check.

Hello, Dave.

I've been using this viewer for years and decided to update to the newest version.

Sadly, it refused to work saying it needed d3dx9_29.dll when it only comes with d3dx9_37.dll. Fortunately, I still have v.1.1.1.6 so I was able to fix the problem, but you might want to repackage the program so it includes d3dx9_29.dll.

Thanks for sharing your work. :D

I downloaded it two days ago and did not have any issues. Maybe the download was faulty on your end?

AFAIK it was a clean download but it didn't contain d3dx9_29.dll and wouldn't run without it.

Thank you exogenesis :)

This is a great utility. I used in in my X2 game, which I just finished; and I will use it in Reunion which I am just beginning. Excellent work.

While the Copy paste technique worked for AP, it refuses to show any of the modded Cats/Dats content... Basically, my Mod 1, Mod 2, and Mod 3 tabs show exactly the same as the Vanilla one...

Best thing in the world for figuring out how to properly build your complexes to be neat and tidy.

I don't suppose there is any plan to make this compatible with X: Rebirth?

@ StormMagi: The new and completely different game and engine would almost certainly require a major if not total rewrite of the code of this tool. Best to pursue that line of questioning by PM with the author as it is not really appropriate for this forum.

Sorry. Did not realize it was that different/much work. Will PM then.

Hi, does anyone know if this works for Terran Conflict Xtended mod?
