Personally I don't set up self sufficient complexes. A closed loop for 10 crystal Fab L's will generate enough crystals to complete the plot in around 6 1/4 days. Take away the SPP's and import the energy (there's plenty around), and the same 10 fabs will turn out enough in 3 1/2 days.
I tend to keep the silicon separate as well (hate towing mines!!), then once the crystal stage has finished I can shut down production completely and shunt all the silicon to the hub until completed.

To clarify: if you need an awesome game spoiler (almost any game) use "omatic". Simple program. Found it 9-10 years ago. Changes any walue in any program into your desired one. In X3 I made myself 800 typhoons, for defence, like this and seriously considering doing the hub with it too...

Erm... I think using the ingame script editor would be easier?
Or for the next level of easyness, Cycrow's Cheat Script?
Or for the final level, Apricotslices mod which makes the Hub requirments really small.
Something like:
2 Computer Components
5 Microchips
Etc...

This doesnt count like scripting, therefore you you wont get any "messages" that game is moded.
As for scripts, I don't know. Haven't tried them and omatic is a program that I trust and it works on X3 very fast compraed to some other games. And it can change ANY number.
P.S. Srry for advertising....

Having major issues with the Final Fury mission 3. There's just way too many Khaak!
I'm using a Shrike with a Centaur and a Dragon as escorts - unfortunately the TL is too fast for my Shrike and the two M6's get overwhelmed quickly if I order them to protect the TL.
If I get too close to the TL, the Shrike's own weapons end up destroying it. Too far and the Khaak easily destroy it. I've tried missiles but they are so slow it makes little difference.
If I jump in an M3 I get annihilated very quickly.
Kind of stumped. If I use a capital ship I'll end up killing the guy I'm supposed to protect. If I use an M6 I get killed, an M3 likewise.
Its a shame the mission makes no sense. They have all that hardware in the adjacent sector yet rely on one man to single handedly destroy a sector's worth of Khaak AND protect TL's. Dumb.

@ Final Fury Mission 2.
mission where u get data from exterminator + random spawned gun, but...
on far south there is 3 unknown object, when i approached them, they look like 3 frozen parts of some big ship, and act like asteroids, and i cant do anything with them.
any ideas or help?

You say you've tried missiles, but have you tried something like the Cobra, an M7M? I'd think it should be fast enough to keep up with the TL, and with enough Flails and Hammers, you should be able to barrage those Kha'ak into oblivion.Greyhawk1 wrote:Having major issues with the Final Fury mission 3. Have a great idea for the current or a future game? You can post it in the [L3+] Ideas forum.

Alternately, you can eject Pearle, then transfer over the CLS, switch ships, and scoop Pearle back up.Risky wrote:On the Teran Mission 6 I had to add one little thing to make it work - you can't tranfer Pearle unless there is CLS on the Caimen and if you tranfer it from your own ship he dies. I solved it by ordering in an M5 to donate a the CLS first before the transfer.
I'm on the fixing the gate bits of the Hub mission. I have a TL full off Teladianium docked but can only transfer 4k into the Hub at once. No mission ping or anything, so I can't deliver the full 150k needed (patch 2.6). The mission briefing still has "Connect: Gate set 1" highlighted. Have I missed a step or is this a bug?
